It’s so rare to find a Filipino restaurant around our area but I’m so glad we found this place. We came in and tried a variety of menu items including the crispy lechon pork belly, the kare kare oxtail stew, the pancit noodles, and lumpia spring rolls and everything was so good! The staff were so friendly and accommodating even though we didn’t make it in until the last 45 minutes or so of service and ordered a large meal. We also purchased some of the snacks from their little store area inside the restaurant. Can’t wait to return!

What an amazing find in Bloomfield! It’s incredible to have such a diverse and authentic Filipino restaurant right here in town. The food was absolutely delicious from the grilled chicken skewers to the pancit and the ube shake, everything was flavorful and fresh. The service was so warm and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Loved it, and can’t wait to come back!

Love this place. Staff and customers while I was there were incredibly welcoming. I ended up trading contact info with a Tito to be invited to future gatherings they have and had another Ate try inviting me to crash a graduation for some Filipino food. While there are some things missing like the real calamansi and other sawsawan, they clearly put a lot of effort into hitting the authentic flavor profiles and its the closest I’ve found to being in the Philippines since I left. I can’t wait to get back here to try more dishes and see everyone again.

My only complaint is the lack of dinuguan on the menu, but that’s probably a bit harder to sell people on here. I also wish they had polvoron and hopia in the shop. If my complaints are all centered around wanting more, and wishing they weren’t over an hour away, that’s a great sign for me.

Edit: Came back for more. It’s still awesome along with the people. They had read my review and had polvoron stocked in the shop. Love this place and look forward to coming back again.

The grilled pork chops and chicken kabobs are excellent. First time there, will be back. Very affordable. Chicken Adobo very authentic. Prices went up a couple bucks since last year, but still a great deal.

Authentic and excellent Filipino food. The owner says she goes to great lengths to to source authentic ingredients found in the Philippines. Definitely worth going out of the way for this restaurant.

I love the food. I usually get the BBQ Bento Box with steak. The egg rolls are the best. I love that the food is cooked to order and it’s all fresh. The staff and owners are always pleasant and so sweet. I with I could give more than 5 stars⭐

OH MY GOD!! Don’t let the looks deceive you, yes, it’s small and no frills but it’s one of THE BEST Filipino foods I’ve ever had and I’m from Jersey City!! Food’s fresh and feels home made. Food is made to order – minimal wait time and definitely worth it!! TWO THUMBS WAAY UP!!

BTW: You can order A WHOLE LECHON here for catering (Roasted Pig)!!

Your curiosity will be rewarded with a visit to East Bloomfield’s own Filipino restaurant and grocery. The place is brightly lit and sparkling clean, and the owner, John, fills the place with a welcoming and cheerful energy. In the past I have stopped by for a snack of lumpia (spring rolls) but tonight I decided to order dinner. I had the chopsuey, which was fresh broccoli, snow peas, and other fresh vegetables in a delicious cream sauce topped with a nice piece of mahi mahi. This came with sticky rice, two lumpia, and some pickled papaya. At $12 dollars this is a FANTASTIC deal.

There are a few small drawbacks I will mention. For one, while almost half of the menu is baked goods, they have been out of almost all of these each time I’ve visited. All they had for dessert tonight was a sweet roll and Buko Pandan. I tried the buko and… It’s chunks of nearly flavorless jello floating in a sort of condensed milk – if that doesn’t sound great, I’m here to tell you it isn’t. John says they are looking to hire another baker in the spring so maybe that will add more options. The only other drawback is that the food took a little longer than expected, but not too terribly long. I browsed the interesting snacks and ingredients for sale while I waited.

Overall, the snacks and dinner I’ve had here have been excellent, so be adventurous and give it a try! It won’t hurt your wallet
