We were craving Baja fish tacos like the ones we were used to in California and came across this spot online. We came in and noticed the Dodgers stadium painting at the front and they were playing game 7 of the 2025 World Series—we knew we were at the right spot.

Ordered the fish tacos along with a couple other street tacos. These were prob one of the best fish tacos we’ve had. Perfectly fried with the burst of flavors from all the toppings. We HAD to get seconds. The cabeza street taco is also worth a mention.

The salsas made in-house were the cherry on top. The owner was very welcoming and did it all— host, server, bus-boy, all the above. They are very hard working and take pride of their restaurant. The laidback vibe and hospitality were refreshing and we can’t wait to come back and try other menu items!

I tried this place out this past weekend on a takeout order and was really excited about it based on the reviews, but I wish I had just defaulted to the restaurant a few doors down.

I’ll start with the good: the quesa birria tacos were decent, above average but there are definitely better options in DFW area. The pollo fries were alright, but otherwise unremarkable.

The bad: I got pollo tacos and asada tacos as well. The meat for both of these was extremely dry and almost tasted like microwavable meat pouches that are sold at the grocery store. The tacos were literally just meat on a tiny tortilla with absolutely nothing else (no onion or cilantro, as the online ordering page had indicated). For nearly $20 worth of tacos, it was a huge disappointment when we opened the box upon arriving home. Honestly had it not been for this disappointment, I’d say this would be more of a 3-4 star place.

All in all, the birria tacos are the only thing I’d recommend from my order if I went back.

Update: Wow, I didn’t think leaving an honest review about my experience with a purchased that I paid for would end up with an owner SO incredibly butthurt and unable to take criticism. I now see in your reviews that you have a tendency of taking everything as a personal offense. In regards to your reply–I never said you served bagged meat, I said the meat was dry and TASTED like microwavable meat pouches, and I’ll double down on that because that’s what it tasted like. Regarding onions and cilanto, your ordering platform clearly states that the tacos have onions and cilantro by default, and plain would indicate no ADDITIONAL toppings. I did not want any EXTRA onions, cilantro, or any of other toppings. This is how all online ordering platforms work. Lastly, you can claim I’m “wrong” all you want–I’m posting a review, which by definition is subjective and based on one’s personal experience. Thanks for showing your true colors to the world–you clearly lack reading comprehension and professionalism. Your lack of character also shows, as my review was for the food but you jumped straight to attacking me as an individual.

Stopped in for lunch as I was in the area. It’s located in a shopping strip just off the tollway. It’s not a very big location and doesn’t stand out. It was empty and the owner was my waiter. Very nice guy and explained to me how everything is made fresh in house. You get chips and a couple of salsa options. Both have some spice to them. I ordered the 2 specialty tacos with rice and beans combo. My tacos were the Surf and Turf and Beer Battered Shrimp. Both very tasty. The surf and turf was almost like a birria style taco. Juice just dripping out of it. Shrimp taco was well fried and plump juicy shrimp. The rice was well cooked and seasoned. The refried beans which don’t usually do much for me were delicious. Some of the best I have had. The meal was very filling and delicious. I will for sure come back and check out some other options. Major props to the food and owner.

I’ve been to Sr. Ozzy’s quite a few times since discovering them. Today I think I had my favorite! As someone from California this is the perfect mix of authentic and California-approved Mexican in Texas! Food is always fresh, perfect, and the owners are very friendly as well! Definitely try their quesobirria tacos or asada burrito next time you try them!!

Sr Ozzy’s Tacos y Mariscos was AMAZING!!!
Everything tasted fresh and made from scratch…you can truly tell the difference. The flavors were bold, authentic, and full of heart.

The service was just as impressive…welcoming, attentive, and genuinely authentic. You don’t just feel like a customer…you feel taken care of.

Definitely one of those spots you leave already planning your next visit!

Highly recommend!

Best tacos I’ve ever had! Will be going back as soon as possible. Also I loved how the owner stopped by each table to see how we were doing, such a nice touch that big chains don’t have.

We have been looking for a good street taco spot for a while and we ordered take out we got home and our whole order is wrong (we definitely should have looked before we left but the first time we don’t this happens) we eat it anyway because we are hungry and the meat is tough and dry. Also really not that great so honestly if you are looking for a good street taco place this isn’t it. Also barely any food for being the price that it is.

Also, I’ve read the bad reviews here and don’t need a reply from you guys. It is obvious you cannot take accountability.
