so good oh my god. my grandma & uncle (the patellas lol) are big fans. im visiting ohio for the week & we came to dine in for $2 tacos, SO impressed. got a burrito bowl & my aunt got steak & chicken quesadillas; all of it was amazing. i didn’t catch our servers name but he was so great too, really attentive & on top of refills and everything we needed. whoever was bussing was also super on top of things & very personable! great staff & great food.

Wow! I was reading a negative review on Normas Tacos and the reviewer said this was the ONLY authentic Mexican restaurant in the area and let me tell you it’s true. I’m from California and have a passion for good Mexican and I’ve been to Mexico a dozen times. I know that I’ve never had peas carrots or corn in Spanish rice until moving out east.
Back to the reviews though. When I saw the owner replying to every review I thought now this dude cares. I’ve walked out of countless restaurants where you know the owner doesn’t care what people think. I wanted to give them a chance. We ordered 2 lunch specials the wet burrito was amazing. The Chile Relliano was amazing (most places over cook the pablano making it mushy) the rice was good the beans were great.
10/10 they even held the door open for me as I moved my client in a wheelchair inside. Will definitely be back. Even for the hour drive!

Sr. jalapeño’s in Struthers, Ohio is one of my local haunts. I know the staff and owner on a first name basis. The food is always amazing, served hot & fresh. I love the Fajitas, my absolute favorite! They also serve breakfast fajitas as well. usually sit at the bar, but there are other seating options. A large dining area with table & booths. They have a nice little, complete bar, Tequila and Pacifico await you. The atmosphere is great, very friendly & inviting. So the next time you crave a great Mexican dinner, stop by Sr. Jalapeño in Struthers, you won’t be disappointed.

Sr Jalapeno never disappoints. It’s a great local Mexican place with a very friendly staff. They have great daily specials and happy hour. Let’s just say I can put away some tacos. Like I said, it’s a great local place and we’ll definitely go back again and again.

The restaurant was clean & smelled good. The service was good, chips & salsa was nice, but the food wasn’t the best. The Chile rellano wasn’t spicy & was drowning in wetness and nothing tasted seasoned. It just wasn’t the best tasting Mexican food. I would go back for drinks & the scenery, but no more food. My daughter ordered a chicken soft taco that was soggy, plain, with no flavor. The beef had a good flavor that was inside my burrito.
