I’m visiting the area and drove 30 minutes out of my way to come here, and I’m SO glad I did. The service is truly excellent, the food is to die for, and it’s located in a super cute neighborhood. The pastrami was incredibly tender and flavorful, the bread was excellent, and I don’t think I’ve ever had a heavier sandwich. Highly recommend eating it in the nearby & beautiful Frick Park!

Stopped there to pick up a quick dinner for my family. The pastrami is absolutely delicious! We also had the matzo ball soup and latkes. It was all super tasty. If you want a true corned beef or pastrami sandwich, you need to give them a try.

I just ate the best sandwich I have ever had, ever.

The rye bread was perfectly toasted with just the right crunch. The pastrami was piled high (a whole pounds worth), melt in your mouth tender, and seasoned to perfection. The black pepper and coriander really shined through with each bite.

The spicy brown mustard was the perfect accompaniment. The cheese did an outstanding job of holding all that meat together.

I cannot recommend this sandwich enough. Stop what you are doing, get in the car, drive as many hours as necessary, and get yourself one.

Anyone giving this sandwich a bad review should have their deli opinions permanently revoked and their rights to review food stripped away.

You will not be disappointed.

Ordered a Reuben. It was massive. Clearly part of the brand. In the age of social media, I get it. Big sandwich = big reactions. The person who took my phone order was pleasant, and pickup was friendly too, so no complaints about service.

The issue was the sandwich itself. Yes, there was a lot of meat. But the sandwich was so soggy that it fell apart as an eating experience. The Russian dressing ended up completely watered down by meat juices. Juicy meat can be great, but when it turns the bread into a sopping sponge, it stops being a great sandwich.

What really gave me pause, though, is the owner running a page dedicated to reposting reviews and tearing reviewers apart including personal insults and comments about people’s jobs, level of education, or writing ability. That’s just not a great look. One less-than-perfect review isn’t going to tank a successful business. If anything, it probably discourages honest feedback because people don’t want to get publicly mocked for leaving anything under five stars. Taking one for the team, here.

Big sandwich, nice staff but the execution and the online response to criticism leave something to be desired.

If you haven’t tried this place yet you 1000% need to. This was literally the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Pastrami was perfectly cooked, melt in our mouth tender, and super flavorful. Service was wonderful too.

Recently, a relative in the Pittsburgh area went through a medical procedure, so we wanted to send them some great food. Squirrel Hill Market came through.

We ordered matzo ball soup, corned beef, knishes, and latkes—everything was fresh, comforting, and absolutely delicious.

We also spoke with the owner, and it’s clear he genuinely cares and knows his stuff. Being from NY and Philly, we know a good deli—and this one delivers.

If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, we highly recommend Squirrel Hill Market.

In my opinion they make the best pastrami sandwich in the city of pittsburgh. Im sure the other items on the menu are great but I’ve never tried them because I love the pastrami so much. One sandwich is huge and could easily feed two. Love this place

Lunch for days. Sandwich was so big I split one into three days worth of lunchs. Food was great and service was amazing. Love the small corner shop vibe to the place. I had a lovely conversation with another customer, and the lady at the who served me.

The pastrami and corned beef sandwiches here are exceptional, truly made to perfection. I highly recommend a visit if you appreciate a well-crafted sandwich. Their local honey is also a delightful purchase.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This is the sandwich I was looking for all my life.

The sandwiches are massive, one full pound!! I am a family of two so I ate the whole thing. The Ruben bowl, massive!!!! Knish, outstanding!!

I don’t know if I could use more exclamation points!!!

All I’m saying, if I’m saying anything…

Get here, get the things, you will not be disappointed.
