We opened our first Squid Lips Overwater Grill in January 2004. We now have three restaurants on the east coast of central Florida, located in Cocoa Beach, Melbourne & Sebastian. Our goal today is no different than it was back then: To consistently deliver quality food, friendly and attentive service while providing a unique and casual atmosphere to enhance your dining experience.

Amazing food! Amazing views! You couldn’t ask for more! I used to visit the Bahamas frequently and I can tell you… the conch fritters at Squid Lips are the closest thing to the Bahamian conch fritters that I have ever tasted! And the kids loved feeding the catfish right next to our table.

I have an overall rating of three because of the moldy smell (I know that’s what happens by the water), but a five star rating on all the other options. My server was top notch, friendly and attentive, great sever. The food came out fast, actually to fast between the appetizer and main meal.
I was not expecting much from the front of the building and the musty/mold smell as you walk up to the front door. That same smell was overpowering once I entered the building. I am very sensitive to mold/musty smells; if I had to sit inside I would have left. I was offered a seat outside and it didn’t disappoint. Great laid back dining area and bar. Perfect weather, gorgeous sunset, smooth water.
I had the fish dip which I loved, I could have made it a meal. I love that they offer, diced onions, tomatoes and jalapenos on the side as mixins. I ordered the mountain of shrimp I really enjoyed it. I just wish they would offer a special half shrimp and fish since the special is a double portion for the shrimp and the fish dishes..
Don’t forget to go to the edge of the deck look down into the water and you will see the fish waiting for someone to feed them. Those fish were huge!

A return visit did not disappoint! The setting is at the waterfront and we experience an amazing sunset!! That alone was worth the visit. However, we had a wonderful meal with friends. We ordered a “boatload” of oysters and enjoyed them. Lauren waited on us and she was wonderful. Oh yea…the margaritas were really good too! Thanks for a great night out. Until next time…

Great view. Food was wonderful. I purchased a dressing for my wings as it was not included. Server did not bring it, then forgot again when I hunted him down. Finally the hostess brought it to me. Saw a rocket launch and a beautiful sunset with our company from California so it was all worth it.

This is a must-visit place for its location and fresh seafood. The sunset is amazing from the outdoor seating at the restaurant. The best part is that they have a pier you can wait at before or after you dine. The outdoor seating is spacious and decor is very nice. Service was good and the food was as well. We ordered seafood lasagna and it was delicious. Stuffed flounder was ok, it would have been better with a lemony sauce..

Squid Lips is the perfect blend of beachside charm and Florida character. The outdoor patio sits right on the Intracoastal, offering incredible views, warm breezes, and plenty of local wildlife—some of which get a little too friendly, so keep an eye on your plate! The setting alone makes it worth the visit, but the food seals the deal.
Everything we had tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with a nice balance of beach, Southern, and Caribbean influences. The oak-fired grill gives many of the dishes a smoky depth that really sets them apart from typical coastal fare.
Drinks were well mixed and refreshing, though they lean a little light on the pour. Easy fix—order a double and settle in to watch the sunset. Between the view, the atmosphere, and the food, Squid Lips delivers that laid-back coastal experience you come to Cocoa Beach hoping to find.

Emma is a great waitress, ambience is fantastic. Noodles tasted like they were left in the water too long, then dish was microwaved. All in all a good experience.

First time I came here with my husband. We had a lovely time. There was live music, and the porch was very popular for guests. We had a lovely time, but the service was a slow. The waitress was very nice, but the lack of urgency and organization was evident. Food was excellent. We were thrilled that raw oysters were available at that time, and they were available at a very reasonable price. My husband said the pulled pork sandwich was delicious.

The place has a nice view and a great ambiance, which we really enjoyed. The food looked promising – especially the burger and house-made potato chips, which were quite good. However, the Thai poke bowl didn’t meet expectations. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t very friendly either, which affected the overall experience.
