Definitely not as good as it used to be. In on a Saturday while doing the Baraboo mystery weekend. Not overly busy bartender commented she was just helping out. No warm welcome, no longer able to build an appetizer basket. Had appetizers and left.

If you’re a regular there, you’ll get exceptional treatment! If not, be prepared to wait and grab the attention of the staff. Poor guy at the end of the bar came in shortly after us and never was even looked at. He had his money on the bar and waited patiently. After about 20 minutes, he left. The bartenders were so busy with the regulars who came in to see their pool numbers and get signed up. We got our beverages right away and had to flag down someone for menus. The food was good. My hubby had to walk down the bar to find someone for our bill. Another complaint I have is, the smokers. Yes, they need to go outside, but why? They stand just outside the back door which is left wide open and the smoke comes rolling in like they are inside. I’m not kidding about just outside. It’s almost like they have one foot in and one out.
