We stopped in as a party of 5 on a Sunday afternoon and had no problem being seated outside. Their patio is covered and has a cool breeze going through making it an enjoyable afternoon. Portions are huge and great for sharing. Ann was great at keeping drinks full and being patient while we were looking over the menu. Her and another server took the time to give us a few places to check out after we mentioned we are new to NJ. I appreciate the friendly faces and the good food! The parking lot in the back is huge and definitely made it easier with kids.

Nostalgia for locals seems to be a big part of the appeal. The menu has a wide variety of pub food. Staff was distant and seemed tired after a long day. The establishment was clean and the layout was slightly clunky with wobbly seats and tables. The pizza was good and seems to be popular with lots of pickup orders. Looking forward to trying it again when we are in the area.

Must try is the sicillian with hot honey and breaded chicken.. well done. The crust is crispy yet fluffy and buttery goodness. I do like the regular round pie with peppadew peppers which is a rare find as a topping in general but sicillian all the way. Good drinks and atmosphere! Go early or be prepared to wait.

Had dinner for my birthday here and had Mandy as a server. Her vibrant personality really made the evening great. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.

Squan Tavern is as it appears to be. A family owned restaurant and bar, nothing fancy. It’s densely decorated with knickknacks especially above eye level, and doubly so with the lingering Christmas decor. Mozzarella sticks were good, though not served especially warm. I couldn’t tell if the sauce was made or if it came bagged but it was pretty solid. I thought the Caesar salad was decent but priced a bit steeply, and again I wonder whether the dressing is made in house. The pizza seemed very wet, slightly underdone, and made with little attention to detail and even less love

Fantastic lunch today. Would recommend to anyone.
Sangria, made in-house and perfect.
Apps – Would recommend all. Blackened tuna bites. Conch fritters. And big mozz sticks.
Entrees. Pictured are the calamari. Spaghetti meatball and a chopped anti pasta salad.
Great service. Will be back

Had a plain/pepperoni pie and a chicken vodka pie with sauce on the side. Pizza was good. Thin crust style. My blackened tuna bites were good. Slightly overcooked than I had asked but still worth finishing the plate. Kinda of an old man fisherman bar feel with pizza but still had some old school charm to it.

Third and last stop for today’s Tavern Pizza Tour!!!
Another First Time visit!!!
Last Supper was a small Antipasto and yes another Margarita Pizza for consistency for scoring. Asked for it to be crisp and when it arrived it was hot, crispy and nicely charred.
It was a pleasant eating – taste experience, but there was something missing.
The sauce depending on the bite had a different degree of sweetness and the amount of basil or lack of taste of of basil was a disappointment.
Had to add a little salt, pepper and garlic to up the taste.
It was still overall a good !!!

Me and my family have been coming here for years. The pizza is exceptional and that’s saying a lot for an area filled with many notable options. Some of my other favorites are the Stuffed rigatoni w/ chicken, tortellini Alfredo, chicken parm and of course the homemade meatballs. At the bar, the drink selection doesn’t get enough credit. Great beers on tap and always offering local options. An all around great family restaurant and I hope to be returning for many years to come.
