Welcome to the Sputnik Grill on South Padre Island. We offer some of the best food on the Island. House-made Pizza, Cheeseburgers, Wings, and Sandwiches are some of our specialties. We have a full line of Appetizers and a full bar in a smoke-free environment. Upstairs from the Rockin’ Cigar Bar & Grill. You can also enjoy the grill in the Rockin’ Cigar bar too. We have partnered with the Friends of Animals and donate 5% of food sales to this great organization that helps pets find homes. Currently sitting here and writing this wonderful review, Sputnik’s Bar & Restaurant is an absolute gem! We ordered the sweet corn nuggets, Philly cheesesteak, and the Margherita pizza everything was delicious. The service was wonderful and very accommodating.
One of the cutest and most heartwarming things about this place is that it’s pet-friendly, and 5% of their sales go toward animal rescue. As an animal lover, that really meant a lot to me and says so much about the owner.
I also want to address a negative review I saw this place has an upstairs non-smoking area for those who don’t like the smell. But honestly… it’s a bar. What do you expect? The food and drinks are amazing, and you really have to look past that review and experience it for yourself.
Coming from Houston, we will absolutely be returning customers every time we visit South Padre. I was hoping to see Sputnik this time, but maybe next visit Please support this amazing Small business, you honestly would not regret this at all. I promise!!

Every time I go to the island, I always come back for their pizza definitely the best pizza on the island. Their wings are pretty good as well. I have never had any complaints about their staff. They are all very attentive and helpful. And of course, our favorite face there would have to be Sputnik himself He always makes our visit there just a bit more enjoyable. (Sputty boy waiting on us to drop him a slice of pepperoni lol)

We got the cheesesteak , wings and a pepperoni pizza and they were faboulous. At first we didn’t know we were in a cigar bar but that didn’t affect the food at all. We also got to meet sputnik himself. He’s the best good boy ever.

We stopped here randomly after the turtle sanctuary for lunch. Didn’t realize the downstairs was a cigar/bar area but the owner brought us to the upstairs since we had two littles with us for lunch. We felt so welcome and had the best service I’ve had in awhile! My husband and daughter had the wings which they said were great and I got a delicious monte cristo with corn nuggets (amazing) and fried pickles. We were also able to play some pool and enjoy a stress free environment. Will definitely be back here again and SPUTNIK is the sweetest!!! Thanks for a great time! 11/10 recommend.

This is a smoker bar. We didn’t know that so went there with our two kids. However, the barman let us sit outside and prepped our food for takeaway while we enjoyed two crispy cold landshark beers. The food was great too

The new employee they have there is fantastic. He did a great job greeting us and other guests, keeping conversations going and making everyone feel welcome. The pizza was good but had a bit too much char on the bottom. Wings were fabulous.

Took my family. Have an upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs is a cigar bar/dining area. Both levels have a pool table. Brick oven pizza was cheesy and delicious. Had buffalo and lemon pepper wings as well. Had some fun family bounding with the pool table. Can’t wait to come back.

Ordered a pizza & chicken wings! Food was amazing! Great flavors and hot fresh food. Had a little hiccup with my chicken wing order but the owner was very accommodating & had it quickly fixed. The lady who took my order was also amazing & very nice! Loved the food! I am from San Marcos, Tx but this will be a spot I return too when I visit South Padre. Highly recommend
