I’ve been eating at Springwood for about a year now so I’ve pretty much eaten everything on the menu. There hasn’t been one thing that has disappointed. I have my favorites – the Turkey Diana sandwich is really really good and the cabbage soup on Sundays is so good ( I know, cabbage, but seriously try it). Try it, you definitely won’t regret.

My husband and I come here probably once a week. I often came here with my dad as a kid maybe 20 years ago, and hes come here for around 30!
Nafi, his wife, and the waitresses are always so kind! We always get to chat with nafi and his wife, he comes around to the table to say hi and see how our food is.
The food is great, I usually get one of the same 3 things every time I go as I’m picky. I get the chicken breast sandwich, strawberry crepes with whipped cream or the vegetarian skillet with cheddar instead of mozzarella and scrambled eggs on top. I cant eat eggs but however they make the skillet is the only way I can manage to eat them The chicken dumpling soup is amazing, I moved away for a few years and craved that soup the entire time.
The prices are pretty dang good, I can get breakfast for myself before work for about 10 bucks, 25 with my husband.
If youre looking for a nice family diner to go to for breakfast or lunch, go to nafi’s!!!!
Nafi, your wife, and all the staff, if you see this, my husband and I love coming here, thank you for everything you do! ❤️

This is a great little underrated spot for great food at an affordable price. Maybe in the shadows of the Gateway, just down the street, this is a spot you should make a destination when you want a solid breakfast, swerved fast and friendly knowing the portions are going to be fair and plentiful. The restaurant is clean, local history on the wall and the menu has plenty of meal choices.
The staff was kind and attentive and you could tell the family was on hand to ensure the guests were satisfied. Don’t sleep on Springwood. This should definitely be in your breakfast and lunch rotation.

This past March was the very 1st time dining here and was a pleasant experience. I do enjoy an old fashioned home cooked breakfast and the Springwood does it right.
Food was hot & fresh at still reasonable prices, service was great and the dining room was very clean.
Got to speak with Nafi at checkout who’s a down-to-earth friendly individual and he mentioned he’s owned the restaurant for over 40 years, amazing.
The moment my family & I sat down, got that homey feeling right away even though we’re 1st timers from a few miles across the Lake Co border.
Always look forward to a home cooked breakfast and this place was automatically put on my go-to list of breakfast restaurants.
Not sure when we’ll be back since I’m a foodie and I’m always trying to explore but we’ll definitely come back.

Update: went again with the kids super busy!!! It was still great for my picky daughter’s, they loved it and the service was still fantastic!! Nafi himself was apologizing he thought it wasn’t up to par, but it was!! We’ll be back!!…… Wow what a great place, not fancy But you can’t beat the food service or price. My daughter loved her banana pancakes and I did try them and they were magical I don’t know how they do it . My omelette was so good, but I could only eat half which was great I could have the other half tomorrow! Service is great !!everybody’s friendly, the big guy is walking around talking to people and filling coffee cups, nothing fancy just good food ,good people and a great price !and kind of a Kenosha icon.

Really a gem that we never knew about in the city of Kenosha until last Saturday. Great restaurant really friendly staff the owners very nice gentleman who was really happy to have us for brunch. They have Daily Soup specials and all those soup they make it by scratch. My wife and I will definitely be coming here again. If you’re looking for simple American food or just simple Family Dining I would say add this to your list of places to go.

The food was great in my opinion and I really like their soup, so much that I bought a large to take home. The cream and potato soup is one of my favorites. All the food came out fast as well. The owner is really nice and the waitress I had was very outgoing and made the place feel even more comfortable. Tammy was her name and she’s awesome! It’s a family oriented restaurant that I recommend.

Food is always amazing!! Staff is super friendly and treat you like family. Anything on breakfast menu is delish but my fav is either bagel sandwich or chorizo skillet. I absolutely LOVE their chicken stir fry….fresh veggies that are perfectly cooked…not mushy and seasoned to perfection.
