We were in La Mirada running errands and purposely tried to find a quaint, delicious Mexican spot. Found it!
The main dish for me was Huevos Rancheros and my foodie in crime that day ordered her usual shredded beef hard shell tacos when hitting up our fav Mexican food places.
I really wanted to try the Horchata or Jamaica that thy most likely make there, but it was all sold out. Only means one thing, right!
I really enjoyed the service and feel of the small dining area. We agreed we would go back when back over this way.

Classic old school Mexi/Cali restaurant with all the regulars. I’ve only ordered menudo to go from here, but decided to stop by and try some dishes in house. Tried the Chile verde tostada and three tacos (lengua, chicharrón and carnitas). The GF had the hard taco plate (one chicken and one beef). Food and service was pretty good. Nothing really to complain about and dishes were solid, but all we did was compare the food to other places that did it better. Could you find better carnitas? Sure. Same with the chile verde, hard tacos, etc. Granted there were different places for each, so have to give it up to this place for doing everything solid. Parking is rough when busy, which is why we haven’t eaten here before, but if you go after 1:30pm like we did, the place is pretty empty. Down side is they may be out of some items that late. I think we only had issue with one item, but they have so many other options it’s easy to find a replacement 🙂

Been coming here for a while and never tried the huevos rancheros and finally tried them, what an experience they are delicious and at another level. I highly recommend the huevos rancheros, menudo bowl and the aguas frescoes. The service is great with Priscilla and Estela taking care of all your needs and attentative to every detail in between. The place is small but big in everything else.

Great Low Key Spot.

My fiancé recommended this place to me so I figured I’d give it a shot.

This place is small and very low key. The food was really good and prices were very reasonable. When we got there all the seats were full and there was a small wait, which meant it was probably a good spot. Shortly after arriving we were seated. The servers weee very friendly and quick to provide service.

The chips were homemade and perfect, consistently cooked but not burnt and not saggy. The salsas were all homemade and very delicious.

I tried the red pork tamale and chili verde pork with potatoes, egg and beans. My partner in crime ordered chiliquiles with salsa verde. All of it was very delicious and well worth the wait and drive. I’ve gotten the red chilaquiles and the green and both are equally great. They put green salsa in the red salsa, the sauce also comes with pieces of scrambled egg and very small pieces of pork. It has a nice kick too it as well, but u can always request for non spicy, no egg and non pork in ur sauce. The sauce is unique

Well I have been coming here for years since I grew up in Norwalk. This has always been my goto place for breakfast, especially the green chilaquilles. Mmmmm!! Buy then again all the food is tasty here. I still come by at least 1-2 times a week dice I moved to Pico Rivera in 2004. The owners are great!

My family’s favorite Mexican restaurant! Been going there for at least 20 yrs. The service and the quality of food has always been exceptional. They never mind you customizing a dish (it costs extra of course). Food always comes fast and hot! Love it. Chilaquiles are the best!!! Top with costillas con chile verde, machaca or carne asada. Their beans and rice are great! The green chili burrito is amazing! The cocido is yummy. Menudo is great too!

Wow, this place is amazing. Very unassuming, small restaurant with not too many tables. The food, the green chili – best I’ve had outside of New Mexico. Service was excellent, coffee was fabulous, can’t say enough good things. I’ll be back!
