Ok update 2 weeks later. I had to knock down 2 stars. Came back and ordered the same thing. Chicken teriyaki bahnmi and spring rolls. I must have gotten lucky the first time I came here and ordered the sandwich and hyped it up for my daughter to try. I got a completely different sandwich. The first time I got it was actual charred and BBQ tasting, TENDER im pretty sure was thigh meat. Then I get it again its boiled chicken Breast. I bit into the sandwich and water came gushed out of the chicken. Not to mention I had to go BACK to the restaurant to have it remade because the bread was completely soaked in liquid I couldn’t even pick it up without it falling apart. Probably from the chicken. Soggy and sad. They remade it and it was better looking, but bland as hell. Spring rolls looked different as well, oddly shaped and shorter. It had things in there my first time ordering didnt which I wish it did. The food is not consistent, but if this is what youre putting out then I cant say ill recommend this place. Great 100/10 customer service, I love the team . Food needs alot of improvement.
Food has been a tasty bite in the past. My friend liked but not loved the eggrolls. I tried the pineapple prawn roll, but it was okay. I don’t care for their peanut sauce, but I have yet to try their other dipping sauces!
They have a seasonal menu so that is nice to see a variety of flavors.
So, the chicken is way over cooked. It has that texture, rubbery chew to it which is never good. What saved it was the rice (just right IMO) and the “teriyaki sauce” is good. Reminds of what you get as the dipping sauce for tempura shrimp/vegetables. It’s not a traditional teriyaki sauce, which is fine with me.
Their matchas are one of my favorites. Very good, full of flavor.
All in all: Friendly service, good atmosphere, along with a nice menu.
Would definitely go back.
Chicken bowl I didn’t like because the shredded chicken was dry and really hard to chew and enjoy:/ I was so sad… I was so hungry:(
The complaint I have is that there’s a breakfast menu, and then there’s a rest of the day menu. We came in at 10:20am. Took time looking at the whole menu and decided what we want but only to be turned down at the register. Simply specify that prior to 11am it’s only breakfast items available, or only show breakfast items during the time. I overhear other customers wanting to order off the regular menu but they were also turned down at the register. Just some food for thought since breakfast is 3 hours of the day and I’m sure the staff is tired of saying we only serve breakfast
