It’s a shame this place received a few poor reviews. The bagels are excellent and the coffee is very good. Very happy I came here. The Philly Special is outstanding and the blueberry bagel with pistachio cream cheese is excellent.

I usually go to a different spread bagel location but went there on today on Saturday morning. Busy but not crazy. Funny thing, the employees working hard and competent. Moving things along. The older gentleman at cashier, who I think was owner, was pleasant but not competent and his pace was causing the line to grow. I ordered and paid for a dozen bagels all of which were within arms reach. The cashier was struggling with the computer and had to call over one of the busy employees filling cook and delivery orders over. She fixed it and then he made what appeared to be a disparaging cavalier remark about this being employee work (Like beneath him) I could have misread it. Anyway waited for 7 – 9 min while people behind me got cook orders and finally had to politely ask the employee who fixed the computer and was juggling other jobs to get me the dozen bagels which she did promptly. I saw other people who just ordered bagels also waiting 5 -10 for bagels that were right within arms reach of cashier. Bagels good, the food looks good, the place was clean and I think it have been fine if not for the owner (if that was who was the cashier).

It is Christmas Eve, so I assumed there would be a wait—not a problem. I tried to order six bagels (2 everything, 2 plain, 1 blueberry, and 1 cinnamon raisin). I was told that they do not have any blueberry or cinnamon raisin today; I clarified that I would be fine to wait, but the employee informed me that they are not making them today.I changed my order to 3 plain and 3 everything. She put 3 plain in a bag and then told me I’d have to wait for the everything. 20 minutes later, I see them take a bunch of everything out of the oven and put them in the basket. I go up to the counter and inquire about my order. Another employee tells me that we are waiting on the plain bagels. I clarified that those had already been bagged and he disagrees. I wait some more. In the meantime, they sell cinnamon raisin to another customer after informing them that they’re just in the oven. I can also see blueberry in the oven. I’ve been waiting for over 30 minutes now (which again, would have been fine if I were getting what I wanted)…still unsure of my order status. If I hadn’t already paid, I’d leave and go elsewhere.

This place used to be better. I loved Spread when we started coming here a year ago. The breakfast sandwiches were amazing. We just came in for lunch after not being here for around 6 months. Totally disappointing! They got rid of my favorite sandwich the Benny Franklin, which ok I understand menus change. So I got my second favorite the Carnegie breakfast sandwich. WOW, there was maybe a quarter of the pastrami and eggs that used to be on the sandwich, and I feel like the bagels were even smaller. I remember it being difficult to eat the sandwich without making a mess because they were so overfilled. Total rip off for $14. Doubtful I will be returning.

Tuesday, April 30, three days after my 46th birthday I ate Spread for the 3rd time. Pulling into the location I thought might be a good lease rate and a good reuse of the facility. There are also some other grades tenants and options and the same strip center, including Imperatore fine Italian restaurant in Blue Bell Pizza. Spread as a clean modern look and feel. There was neutral, upbeat, background music that was not too loud. The same staff members from the prior two times were present, both friendly enough and attentive. There is a feeling of simplicity which along with the “brick oven Bagels” seems to enhance the flavor. The bagels are excellent. I’ve had the rosemary, the everything and the sesame. Always get it toasted for that crisp side and soft inside. and have tried the scallion and the veggie cream cheese, both which were phenomenal. I was not in love with the egg sandwich. The eggs were great and abundant, but the bacon was fatty and not crisp. Just not my cup of tea, but for those of you who like fatty soft chewy bacon, this may be your holy place. There was only one other person there today at 8:30 AM, whereas yesterday there were 10 to 12 people in line around the same time. There are plenty of places to sit, though I walked outside and ate on the tailgate of my SUV because the weather is perfect. Later today, it’ll be 88° and sweating on the baseball field at Marlow (Oreland, Pa), but for the moment standing in front of Spread it is 60 degrees and amazing. From a cost perspective, I just paid less than seven dollars for a very tasty bagel with some very tasty cream cheese. I recommend Spread and am wondering if they would be interested in opening in Erdenheim, Springfield Township.

Found this place last Summer and loved it. Expensive but always worth it for great food, and I tipped every time I went in.
Things have changed though.
Quality’s fallen way off.
And I just cant keep paying $25 for dry bland breakfast sandwiches.

This has become my post walk go to for a great bagel and coffee. Inside is comfortable even with a stroller and there is more than enough space to spread out and enjoy lunch without feeling rushed. Everyone that works there is very nice and the spreads are fantastic!

Paid $30 for two trash bagels and two weak coffees.
My toddlers bagel was so hard he couldn’t even eat it. Idk if they burnt it or it was yesterday’s stock
This place is a waste of money for worse bagels than I can buy at CVS across the street.
