The onion rings are home made, but who cares if they aren’t cooked. The macaroni was straight from a box, the baked beans were from a can. And the meat tasted watered down. Will definitely never make this mistake again.

First time here. I ordered a 2 pc whole catfish plate with coleslaw and steak fries. AWFUL! The fish was very very tasteless. The skin continued to fall off into my 2 go plate(box). No salt and no seasoning what so everrrrrrrr! The steak fries wasn’t that bad but i mostly got the end cuts of the fries. The hush puppies STRAIGHT OUT A FROZEN BAG. Tasteless as well. The HORRIBLE coleslaw. Purple soggy and full of vinegary juice. When u order catfish usually it comes with pickles, onions. NONE! 1 pack of tarter sauce with 2 pc fish. Not enough. I asked for mustard and git a liquid mustard juice. Waste of time, money and not value for my money

$76 take out order tonight. The turkey was chopped and floating in a vinegar sauce , the bbq rubbery , Mac and cheese tasted spoiled and the Brunswick stew looked like blended dog food . Very disappointed in food quality for $76 dinner . School cafeteria quality. The picture is turkey in a vinegar sauce

We read about this place online and made the trip to try it out. We were hoping for another option to put favorite BBQ Fresh Air in Jackson. We were both pretty disappointed. I ordered the “chef salad” with pork. Chopped iceberg and tomato were the only thing in the salad. Definitely not worth $11.My husband got the Lewis Grizzard special- a BBQ pork sandwich, onion rings and Brunswick stew. Not sure if he got chili instead, but the stew was beef and tomato base, no limas, no corn, nothing. The service and the sweet tea were the best thing about the meal.

The ultimate in southern BBQ. If you haven’t been there yet, well, bless your heart. The Que is wonderful, but you also must try their Brunswick Stew, Georgia-style of course. It’s the best on planet earth. The restaurant is still family owned and operated. Just the best, and in beautiful Newnan. Go quickly.

I think it’s because I’m from Tennessee and I just have a different flavor palette when it comes to food,
I wouldn’t say this is in my top places to eat. I could see being a regular if you lived around there and seeing folks from there, but I would find it hard to believe people would come far and wide to try this.

I actually had to call my Dad to discuss the matter of how disappointed I was in the flavor, the service and just the whole experience.

I’m giving three stars and being polite about how I feel because I was reminded not everybody knows how to cook GOOD BBQ and that other areas/states have different ways of eating things.
With that being said I hope any of you reading this will not base your love of BBQ off this establishment and instead wait till you try some West Tennessee BBQ meat and homemade BBQ sauce. Your palette will have a whole other experience of flavor.

Again, I think it’s because of where I’m from that I wasn’t the biggest fan. Even with that being said, I did support the business by buying a coffee mug and sticker.

Don’t dislike me too much, pictures in comments.

I wish the business well.

We drove by a few days ago and this place was packed!! My husband and I said we have to try this place so we went for dinner last night. It looks like it’s being run by a bunch of teenagers. The mac & cheese had no flavor at all. The onion rings were cold. The pulled pork cold. The ribs would’ve been better if they had been thrown on the grill or something like that for a few minutes. I will say the chocolate pie was good. The rainbow sherbet tasted like it was sitting in the freezer for a while. The fried peach pie was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen the color inside was almost dark purple it didn’t taste like peaches. I’m not sure what it was.I was completely disappointed and I promise I will never go back..

Worst garbage Ive ever had the misfortune to eat. I have the same story as another reviewer…Mr. Randy Knowles. I also got only 3 bites down before i got down the road to vomit. It was putrid. Coleslaw is not red and brown. Whoever gives this place 4 stars must be very nad with food tasting evaluations. YUCK… never ever again. Go to Fresh air in Jackson or Piggie Park in Thomaston for real bbq…TRUST ME

100 years of serving barbecue means you must be good and it’s better than good. It’s great. Some of the best Brunswick stew I have ever had.

It’s worth leaving the interstate. Make the detour and get the cue and stew!
