I was visiting my grandma in Friendship this weekend and we decided on a fish fry. The menu pictures that are posted online drew us in seeing that the 4 piece fish with fries was listed at $13. We thought what a great deal! Called for take out and then was told the total for the 2 fish dinners was $48! Looked at the receipt and saw each fish dinner was $20 and some change. Also noticed below that there was a 50 cent “take out fee” per meal which we have never seen before from anywhere. It wasn’t worth the money, some of the fish were like half sized pieces, barely any fries. The breading on the fish was way too much. Tasted alright but just not worth it. I will say the lady who took the order and handed it to me when I picked it up was very nice!

We haven’t been here in a while so decided to try it again. We will never go back. 3 pieces of fish was listed as 17.00. When we got our bill they charged 21.00. I questioned it and she told me it’s because prices have gone up. I said that you should have changed your menu. She said she’d knock a few bucks off but seemed annoyed. She knocked 2 bucks off a meal. Not ok. She should have honored the menu price. That place used to be packed all the time and it was dead. Now I know why. We had been going there for the last 15 years on and off. Never again.

A hidden away old little bar restaurant that has been here for decades. North wood atmosphere that time hasn’t completely ruined. Good food in not expensive. Located on the snowmobile trail too.
An interesting little fact the place is built on the border of two townships. Because only one would give a liquor license back in the day. Years later the were able to and s beer bar in the dance hall when the other town allowed for a beer only sales permit.

Just as the name say’s it is a spot in the woods. The Ham Stacker was excellent and the make the best home made soups you will ever find! The breakfast is excellent and so is the fish fry. The bloody mary is made from scratch and a treat as well.

Stopped in tonite to try a new place since we’ve been visiting the Adams area for about 6 years now and haven’t been here. Tried the pizza the spot special to be precise all I can say is it was phenomenal and I’m from the Chicago area and a rather large man who’s eaten many a pizza in my time, cracker thin crust that was crispy even with a load of toppings the bartender was great as well and the beers were cheap I will be back

Food and drinks took forever and was cold. “Potato pancakes” were just scrambled hash browns. 40 minutes for apps. 1.5 hours for entrees. Wait staff took no ownership of mistakes. Two tiny pieces of cod. Wasn’t even busy and when we voiced concern, they were very rude.

It’s just an ok place, in my opinion. The fish was good, and I love that they hand you a squeeze bottle of tatar, but the sides were marginal at best. The pizza, which was recommended by some others, was just ok and lacked a bit of flavor. But it could have been just an off day. The Portesi season was awesome, and added alot to the pizza. Wish they would put it in the sauce!
