Great place for Friday fish! All freshwater fish: either lightly battered perch or baked walleye, with creamy, sweet homemade coleslaw .. some of the best I’ve had ever! The only ding on the place is the bloody Mary I had was pretty awful (it could just be the bartender didn’t know what she was doing) but other than that, the fish was amazing .. we’ll be back!

The service here was really good. However, the fish fry was a little disappointing. I ordered the perch meal. The portion sizes were very small. Looking at pictures of the fish fry from other customers in these reviews my plate did not look anything like their’s. Also the kitchen must not have reliable ventilation because when I walked in the whole bar/dining area was filled with thick fryer smoke

My wife and I had never eaten at this place. We were in town for taxes. Afterwords, we were hungry so we decided to try Sportsmens Bar & Grill. We were impressed with the food! We will have to try their Friday fish fry. All told, I would recommend it to friends.

We went in for Friday night fish fry and Dawn ignored us all the time we were there. She was to busy watching the basketball game and serving the locals. No excuse. They we’re not understaffed. Dairyland cafe had great fish and service.

I had two loads of propane to deliver to ridgeland The first night I had a California burger It came to $14 I tipped the bartender $6 and she thanked me. The second night I had a similar meal & tipped the bartender the same amount. I thought it was peculiar she did not thank me but on my way out of the bathroom she stated “this is not a truck stop “ & suggested I stay at Barron next time. ?????

Stopped here with my husband for dinner and drinks after a long day at Bodie State Park. It was exactly what we needed. This is the kind of place that reminds you how sometimes the most unassuming of places have the most to offer, especially food-wise. Service was friendly and efficient, tunes were good, drinks were stiff, and food was delicious. Can’t ask for much more than that. The sportsmen and Bridgeport themed memorabilia adorning the walls within added to the overall experience for us as well and I’m very glad we chose to stop here.

Small local bar among two other bars in a small town. Best food, most friendly staff, and the most family feel. Between the three, this one is the best. Most small town bars will look at out of town people like they don’t belong. Not this place. Everyone feels like family at sportsman’s.
