The food here was great. I chose the grilled salmon dinner, with a black coffee and ice water. The place is subtly lit which I love. Decorations unique to Sportsman’s Bar which makes it feel homey. The service really nailed it here. Rarely do you get treated this well anymore while dining out. My wife and I enjoyed our little anniversary date here that was totally unplanned. Your team made it memorable.

If I could give six stars, I would. Our party of 11 was enthusiastically greeted and promptly seated. Despite the large table, Ally was incredible. Quickly got each of us our drinks, as ordered. Everyone’s food was served 100% accurate and everyone agreed their dish was excellent.
Started with the gator bites which were just as good as those I’ve had in LA or FL.
As a wet burrito fan, I naturally ordered that and was very satisfied- full of flavor that was evenly balanced.
Wife had the salmon, blackened, and loved it.
Also, all of the decor definitely creates a unique atmosphere.

First time here and this was definitely a great first time visit. A great Sports Bar that is comfortable, cozy, and has that small town feel we love here in Northern Michigan. The Reuben was absolutely a must have with lots of tender REAL corned beef. The Bluegill dinner was so delicious and both meals were more than enough food.

Ordered the Black and Bleu burger with fries. It was delicious! Burger had a really delicious char flavor.
My brother got the gyro with onion rings and the pretzel with cheese appetizer. We were both happy to share the deep-fried pretzel and cheese and he loved his gyro. The onion rings were fantastic too.
If you’re in Newaygo and hungry I would recommend this place.

10/10 recommend this place!! We’ve only been a couple of times as we don’t live nearby, but it was awesome each time! The food is delicious and the servers are friendly and professional. Prices are very reasonable and drinks are made strong. We happened to be there during music bingo once and it was SO MUCH fun and free to play! Highly recommend going on a night they have that going on if you get the opportunity!

My chicken burrito didn’t have much flavor. My boyfriend’s burrito the meat was way over done. We ordered coffee it took them 15 mins to get coffee it tasted like it was in the pot for awhile. Then she brought us more only enough for one person to have a half a cup. She made more it took her 20 mins for a new cup.

thought we would try a different restaurant other than Jimmy’s and it was a mistake. We went on a Sunday evening and ordered the sizzler meal. One was supposed to be well done and the other med well. When the meal came one was over well done and the other was baked potatoes weren’t even baked all the way, so hard you couldn’t mash them, said garlic toast and got a sliver of toast. The waitress only came to the table when we got her attention, never asked us how everything was, she was rude when we told her about the meal, and it took them forever to make our meal right the second time around. I do give them prompts for the side salad that was very good.

I love wet burritos so I ended up getting the wet burrito.
I had to get extra napkins because grease was pooled around the outside of the burrito.
I mentioned something about it and they apologized and said they would give me a discount. I wasn’t worried about that. I support my local restaurants.
My wife and kids food was fine.

Everything we come through town late this year, the website says open until 2 and it closes before midnight. The google.page needs to be updated. The bar next door stays open though, so hight saved.
