This hidden gem is the best spot for delicious noodle soup. My son and I always order the beef flank soup. The broth is so delicious and flavorful. The noodles are hand pulled. You can see the chef through the window actually hand pull it. It’s pretty fascinating. We leave this place completely satisfied every time. Spot is small with not too much seating but I don’t normally have to wait for a place to sit. Soup comes out so fast so no one really lingers and sit for too long.

A very unassuming appearance hides some of the best noodles I’ve ever had! Had the beef flank an it was amazing; the broth was savory, the meat came in tender cubes, and the handmade noodles were a perfect balance between soft and firm. Add a bit of spice from the seasoning containers on the table and we were rocking! Will definitely come again when I’m in the area!

A small place to crash for dinner during cold weather. Their soup broth is so yummy. Noodles is fresh made. Staffs are helpful. We went their for dinner and had to wait for 30 minutes to receive our food. They were really busy with lots of take our order, a big group of students dine-in and only 2 chefs. Prepare yourself some time if you decide to check out this place

Meat in their “veggie broth”

EDIT: Don’t gaslight me, Splendid Noodle — I know the difference between meat and “stuck together noodles.” Adding a video so everyone can see it clearly.

I’m a vegetarian. I spoke with the employees at length before ordering. I asked if they did a veggie broth. They said yes. I asked if there was any meat in the veggie broth at all. They said “no meat.” I asked if it even used meat stock. They said no.

So I ordered it. And I ate it.

And I get halfway through, only to find something very meat-like in my mouth…

I was wary to begin with. I ordered from them before, and the veggie noodles tasted… off, to me, as a vegetarian.

That’s why I had a long talk with them in advance about the broth.

I even put in the notes for the order, “Vegetarian. No meat at all. Veggie broth. No meat broth.”

This restaurant is disgusting. Don’t eat here.

Little mom and pop owned noodle place, great quality noodles and the kindest staff. Also they have homemade chili oil/sauce on the table that is so hot it is to die for. Our food came out within 3 minutes. In addition to that, the meal was at a great price. Would definitely go again.

Incredible is the only word. Went with a group and we all tasted each others food. Lamb, duck, seafood, everything they make is perfect. Especially for the price. Pair that with a friendly and helpful wait staff, and you’ve got an excellent noodle spot.

Hand Pulled Noodles

Splendid Noodle
1320 Stony Brook Rd, Stony Brook, NY 11790

Lamian Chinese noodle. Lamian is made by
twisting, stretching and folding the dough into strands, using the weight of the dough. The length and thickness of the strands depends on the number of times the dough is folded. The
hand-making process involves taking a lump of dough and repeatedly stretching it to produce many strands of thin, long noodle. Literally, là, means to pull or stretch, while min means noodle. This unique method of making noodles originated in China.

I got seafood noodles with veggies and I added a pan fried egg with vegetable broth. The noodles were so good and I enjoyed the vegetable broth too. It’s hot, fresh, and very filling. If you want to make it a spicy, add the hot sauce. Friendly service, the waitress saw that I was struggling with my chopsticks , so she gave me a fork too. I laughed and said thank you. Definitely try this place out. Remember to get the vegetable broth with your noodles. As always don’t forget to say Bismillah and Alhamdulilah for everything ❤️

This is a nice clean and simple noodle restaurant off of Nesconsett Highway in Suffolk County. The menu is simple and the prices are affordable. Their hand pulled noodles are the ones to order. The lamb was very fatty and hard to chew. The broth was ok, better when I added hot chilli oil. The fishballs on skewers were good. The sausage on skewers were good too. Service was Good. I’ll give this place another try. Hopefully I’ll be able to give it a higher rating.

Oh my goodness. This place has incredible broth!! The noddles are house made, making this the best noodle shop I’ve been to anywhere near Riverhead. You need to try this place if it’s within reach. The picture posted is the splendid house noodles. This meal will raise those eyebrows!! Come and try it out!!

Who wouldn’t rave about excellent homemade noodles in perfect broth? You can see them hand pull the noodles, and have your choice of meat, vegetables, or egg to add to the soup they are well known for. There are a couple of side dishes if you need extras. Always consistent and incredibly flavorful. Even the chili oil is homemade and beyond what other places offer. Take it from a half Asian!
