Reviews
However, tonight was our first night here with just the McCall crew. We made a reservation for one of the patio domes for a romantic date night. The dome was well lit and decently warm for being outside (and they had blankets provided). Our server came in and ordered our drinks, which then took about 10 minutes to come out and there were only 2 tables in there at the time. And when she came out she brought 3 drinks (one we had no clue what it was). Then 20 minutes went by and we had not yet received our appetizers. Then she brought out another tables food for 3 people (it was just the 2 of us). So she went back inside with that food. Then we got our appetizers. She then offered to buy our chips and queso (which still ended up being on the bill). Finally the food was coming out. But it was wrong again. My husband ordered 3 birria no onion or cilantro. I ordered 2 birria and 1 Al pastor. We received 3 birria with cilantro and onion and 1 carne asada and 1 al pastor. So she said she would bring out the 2 birria and the 3 no veggies. They brought out 2 birria for me and none for my husband. Then another server came and finally brought him his 3 tacos. So we had our dinner come out at 3 different times making it extremely difficult to have a date night. Then we get to the bill and she comped 1 drink (not the chips and queso as well) and we still paid $50. We ended up not even eating 4 of the tacos because it just wasn’t that good.
Pretty good tacos! Wife thought the carne was a little too spicy. Salsa was good, but don’t care for the chips. Margaritas/cocktails were great, but a little pricey for the pour size. Unfortunately, our server was a little flighty.
Overall, decent experience and as locals, we’ll likely be back.
We got there on a Friday night and it was really busy. Entire staff was hanging on for dear life. Special shoutout to the bar manager and kitchen manager for keeping things afloat and keeping vibes high. They were both doing the most, keeping the rest of the staff positive, and TOCB’n (taking care of business ). Was truly impressed by both of their positive attitudes and leadership.
Food took a while due to craziness but they were super communicative and apologetic. Everything was delicious and worth the wait
Others with me got items that were not safe and he made sure to let me know the chips they ordered were made in a shared fryer so would not be safe/recommended for me to eat. He was also very nice and knew the menu items well. I will be coming back here often!
