We tried to find a breakfast place, and tried another place called Old Post Office Cafe. But they had a 35-minute waiting list. So we turned around and found this place. As soon as we walk in, we are amazed by the beautiful outdoor seating. It’s by a golf course. Food was good, service was quick and nice. One plate is between $16-19. Total worth it at this beautiful restaurant. They also have a big nice bar.

Had a lovely dinner here on a Monday night. Our server, Justin, was so kind and attentive. Husband had the double pork chop. Cooked precisely to order and had a great fruit compote to accompany. I had trout which was great. Surprisingly the potato pancake had a bit too much cheese for me – and I love cheese. Overpowered the potato. I would put this on the list to go back to.

I’m torn on this restaurant. We got a burger and the schnitzel. Burger was eh but the schnitzel was delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had. But there was so much to not like. We went for dinner and the menu is so watered down compared to their lunch menu just so they can increase prices. They have happy hour specials but they are only available if you are eating inside. When you are seated outside, literally 5 feet away, you don’t get the specials. Incredibly dumb. Definitely would recommend going for lunch and not dinner.

Had a wonderful dinner here in February. The menu was excellent with many meat and fresh fish dishes. We had the pork chop which is our absolute favorite, as well as a seafood special. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. Great service – we appreciated not feeling rushed. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

4 of us came for dinner 7pm friday night. we had a nice table on the patio great views, our server was pretty good, less attentive towards the end of our meal. food was pretty good. the brick chicken came with mushroom potstickers which were not good at all, very weird addition to the dish. artichoke very good, burger was decent and the pork chop was massive. overall great ambiance but pricey in my opinion for the quality of food.

Such a cozy little gem. This is our 2nd time at Spindleshanks. Both times for breakfast. The Chilaquiles are the absolute best I have ever had. My lady had the avocado toast which was fresh and large portions. We will be beach to try this trout we are hearing about. Parking is easy and service is friendly.

We had a great breakfast here and sat on the patio with a lovely view of the golf course. They were very helpful in seating our party of 9 on short notice! Would definitely return.

My friends and I went to dinner. A total of 12 people. The service was super fast, the food delicious, and everything fresh. We ordered a variety of dishes and the portions were generous. I loved going to this place. I highly recommend it!

Food is decent but the service is terribly slow. If you get outside seating its fun with golf course view on one side and sort off lake view on the other side. Menu has decent variety and server was nice and friendly. But how can service during breakfast be this slow.

The best part about Spindleshanks Restaurant is the ambiance! The log cabin building along with the expansive, beautiful porch overlooking the golf course truly fits in with Lake Tahoe! The food was good and so was the service. The porch is also dog friendly.
