The star of the evening was the pasta. You can really taste that it’s made fresh in-house – the texture has that perfect bite and the sauces are rich without being heavy. The agnolotti, in particular, was outstanding: delicate pillows of pasta with a deeply flavorful filling and a sauce that you want to mop up every last drop of. Every pasta dish we tried had clean, balanced flavors, the kind of food that makes you slow down and enjoy each bite.
Dessert was just as memorable. The chocolate cake was rich and indulgent without being cloyingly sweet, and the tiramisu was exactly what you hope for – light layers with plenty of mascarpone, soft ladyfingers, and just the right hit of coffee. It felt like a proper Italian finish to the meal rather than an afterthought.
And the unexpected hero of the night: the garlic bread. Fresh, hot, and perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft inside, with enough garlic and olive oil to be addictive but not overpowering. It really was the icing on the cake and set the tone for everything that followed.
Overall, Spiga Cucina Italiana delivers on all fronts – food, ambience, and service. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for genuinely good Italian in North Scottsdale.

If you’re looking for a spot that’s not only delicious but also charming and inviting, Spiga Cucina Italiana is the hidden gem you’ll be glad you found. Highly recommended!
The kitchen is scratch-made, and you can taste the difference in every bite. Their fresh pastas, made daily, are incredible. The osso bucco is the best I’ve ever had. And if you love seafood, their cioppino is phenomenal
What really sets them apart is the service. The staff is personable, attentive, and truly welcoming. They treat you like family, remember your favorites, and make every visit feel special.
Will be back for sure.
They sat us down as soon as we arrived and we got drinks immediately too.
Honestly will make this my go to Italian place!
Started with the burrata and prosciutto, which was excellent – really fresh and flavorful. The calamari was perfectly crispy, which is always a good sign. For our mains, we went with the homemade pasta and you could definitely tell the difference in quality. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.
The portions are generous, so come hungry. Our server was attentive and helpful with the wine list, which we appreciated. The atmosphere is nice without being overly formal – good for a date or just a regular dinner out. If the weather’s good, the patio is a great option.
Overall, it’s become one of our go-to spots for Italian in the area. The food is consistently good and the service has been great both times we’ve been. Worth checking out if you’re looking for quality Italian food.
The only thing we would have done differently is sit on their beautiful patio – it looked like the perfect setting for a romantic evening. This intimate, tucked-away spot deserves far more attention, and we will absolutely be returning soon.
