If I could give 10 stars I would. The food was really good. Best of all was Ms Kim. She is the best server we have EVER had, beautiful inside and out and makes the visit to Spicy Girl worth going to mid town for (and the food is worth the trip, too!)
We got a couple of milk teas and two lunch boxes. So much food, enough for dinner tonight.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while and today we finally had a chance to try it out! From beginning to end, Kim was so personable and hilarious – she really added to the dining experience. Everything we tried tasted great and came out in a timely manner. The Dan Dan Noodles flavoring was perfect although the peppercorn was on the more subtle side. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the shrimps in the Honey Walnut Shrimp dish, and the candied walnuts were some of the best we’ve ever had. The Beijing Duck was also delicious and the duck-to-buns ratio is more than fair. We left with enough leftovers for another meal between the two of us. Overall, we’d definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to stop by again to try other dishes!

Also want to note that they no longer validate parking for the connected Mid Main Parking garage.

The food was delicious! The service from Kim is what made it more enjoyable. Definitely coming back! The red sauce is a great addition if you’re wanting a bit of more spice but the food is overall tasty even without it. Going to be my spot to go to for Chinese in the midtown area!

We went to this place during the winter vacation. We are from Dallas area so we Googled it and found them.
We had a little hard time to find a parking spot but we do find a street parking and walk short time.
We ordered popular dishes according to the Google reviews and waitress’s recommended. (She is so friendly)
We ordered 4 different dishes and everything was so good. Very yummy Sichuan Chinese Food Highly recommended.

I love Spicy Girl! Their food is always delicious, and my favorite dish is the spicy fish, full of flavor and just the right amount of heat. Our server, Kim, was so funny and made our night extra special. Friendly staff, great service, and a cozy atmosphere , definitely one of my go-to spots for Chinese food! ️

I stopped into Spicy Girl for a late-night snack and somehow managed to spend $73 on what might be the most aggressively low-effort Asian food I’ve ever been served.
Let’s start with the “spicy dumplings.” I ordered two rounds. The only spicy thing about them was the price. These dumplings had so little flavor it felt like the seasoning called in sick and nobody bothered to replace it. I’ve had frozen dumplings from H-E-B that tasted more authentic and required less emotional processing to eat.

Then came the hot honey ginger tea, which turned out to be an impressive culinary magic trick: they somehow removed the honey, the ginger, and the tea, and served me hot water in a foam cup. I didn’t realize I was ordering the minimalist tasting menu.

Thinking maybe drinks would save the night, I ordered boba. The tapioca pearls were so overcooked they had the texture of warm slime slowly crawling up the straw. I’m fairly certain they had been simmering since the Bush administration.

The pan-fried dumplings tasted like something pulled from the bargain freezer section at Kroger, reheated, and then served with the confidence of a chef who hopes you’ve never eaten dumplings before.
Look, I’m Asian. I love cheap food when it’s good. That’s practically a cultural sport. But this place didn’t just cut corners — they bulldozed the entire kitchen and paved it over.

For $76, I got:
• Flavorless dumplings
• Hot water pretending to be tea
• Boba with the consistency of swamp biology
• And the realization that grocery store frozen food would have been a culinary upgrade.

Next time I’ll just stop at H-E-B, buy dumplings from the freezer aisle, and boil my own water. It’ll cost about $12 and taste significantly better.

This was our first visit to this restaurant, and it was outstanding. We ordered the three-pepper dry-fried chicken, the beef flat noodles (chow fun), and the hot and sour soup, all of which were excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, with a genuinely joyful demeanor. We very much look forward to returning!

It was my first time at Spicy Girl and it truly exceeded my expectations!! The Peking duck was very flavorful and delicious. The portions were also very generous, which made the experience even better. Our waitress was amazing, so attentive and genuinely caring. She consistently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and was pleasant the entire time. The whole experience felt warm and welcoming, and I will definitely be coming back!

Ms. Kim is the best!!! I love it here the food is always hot fresh and delicious.

I tried the hot noodle soup and it was so good but comes with a warning. She explained many customers return it even after she warns them it’s spicy. But I very much enjoyed the flavor profile of it all.

Not too shabby fairly priced for downtown. Dumplings were tasty. Really enjoyed the pot stocks. Wait staff forgot our won ton soup.
