I recently started working right by the Spice Wing on Ft. Jackson Blvd. I decided to check them out one day since I only have a 30 minute lunch. My favorite item menu is the fried chicken sandwich combo. You really can’t beat the deal. Sandwich, fries and a drink for $9.99? Done. (Plus tip, of course. I’m not a jerk)
Their curly fries are on point and the chicken sandwich is delicious. The sandwich and fries are enough to fill me up for the remaining 4-5 hours of my shift.
The picture I included of my curly fries is actually about 1/2 of what they actually gave me. They were too tempting to eat that I had to wait before taking a picture. Sorrynotsorry. (The first pic is from when I just had the sandwich)
I have yet to try the other menu items, but if they are as spot on as the sandwich/fry combo, I know I won’t be disappointed.

The wings are delicious I got teriyaki and lemon pepper wings. Both of them were great and it was a special I got 30 wings for $24.99. Customer Service was good. Yess I will be returning for more wings.

I don’t really do reviews often because everyone is different and each to their own but this one, by far I have been very impressed. I’ve been 4 times now and dang if they haven’t missed a beat, quick on the time and very unbeatable prices with great flavor, I highly recommend wing people to check it out I’ve had bone in 3 of the occasions and my wife got boneless this 4rd and gotta say both are on point

Today, for Father’s Day, my wife was going to cook me some homemade hibachi, but I mentioned eating out today, because it had gotten so late, I didn’t want her to have to labor in the kitchen for me all night just for, “Fathers Day,” especially being that she’s pregnant. So, she said well we can eat out and I can cook tomorrow. So, we decided that we were gone order from American Deli, only to find out they were closed, but because we wanted chicken, this spot, “Spice Wing,” is what we ended up going with. I spent $60+ on: 1.) 15 piece wing combo with regular fries (w/ 5 of the wings being boneless) (lemon pepper spicy wings & the boneless was hot honey)..2.)10 piece wing combo with regular fries (lemon pepper dry wings)..3.) An order of Mozzarella Sticks 4.) A Larger order of waffle fries 5.) An order of curly fries 6.) An order of fried okra .. I think that’s all.. but I digress, because of the long list, & I want to cut to the point! This was the worse food I’ve had in a while. My fries were all chewy as if they’d been cooked in old grease and left out after. The fires were basic and extremely reminiscent of store brought frozen fries. The chicken wings were not small and were too big for my liking. I have suspicions, because of how ALL the fries tasted, that the chicken may have not been cleaned, as they didn’t taste fresh. The mozzarella sticks were not fully cooked, had chewy cheese, and taste like store brought frozen mozzarella stick. My wife is vegan, so she wanted the okra and waffle fries, and her fries too were trash, when I tasted them. All the fries
Tasted the same, even though we ordered 3 different kinds. We warm up our food in the oven, not the microwave, and when my wife warmed her food (particularly her okra) up in the oven, the taste of the fried okra, she said, changed, however she said the fries tasted better than they originally had (said she added seasoning), but she no longer desired anymore of the okra. This was one of the worst decisions I’ve made in my life when it comes to ordering out. My experience made me never want to visit this establishment again. I rarely ever, (unless I’m asked) leave reviews, but I had to with this one man. I only ate the food, because I paid for it. I couldn’t eat all of it though. Thankfully my son enjoyed his lemon pepper, but he a kid and he will eat chicken to the gristle, because he loves it lol. They gotta do better at this spot. They get a 2 out of 10 and I’d never recommend

I go there very frequently and I have to say the staff does an amazing job at making my food every time. And the owner is such a sweetheart and kind hearted. Truly the Spice Wings in Columbia is worth visiting

Overall this establishment is a hidden gem. The price, the location, the quality of the food is amazing. I love the kickin bourbon flavor. I personally don’t enjoy the ranch or blue cheese served .

A new Go-To for me. Wings and spices at your disposal and any fries (waffle, wedge, straight, curly, you name it). Can’t go wrong with options like that.

Great wings! The ghost pepper wings are hotter than I expected but I’d still consider them in the mild category. Tried several other flavors and they were all really good. Prices are average, maybe a little expensive but still fair. Minimal seating but most don’t eat in. Recommended!
