I cannot say enough good things about this place and, especially, the owner.
I had ordered the Brooklyn Blackout Cake for a very special occasion — my friend’s 92nd birthday — and it’s a cake I’ve had before and absolutely love. I drove about 40 minutes one way, with traffic and an accident making it even longer, only to realize when I got home that the cake was not the one I had ordered.
I called the bakery feeling understandably disappointed, and the woman who answered immediately put me on hold to speak with the owner. The owner then called me personally — and from the first moment, he was kind, calm, respectful, and genuinely caring. I explained the situation and that I simply didn’t have time to drive all the way back again because of the birthday plans.
What happened next truly restored my faith in small businesses: the owner himself drove to my home and delivered the correct cake. No hesitation. No excuses. Just pure integrity, professionalism, and kindness.
He even insisted I keep the other cake, saying they don’t take it back — which was incredibly generous. You can tell this is someone who takes pride not only in his baking, but in how he treats people.
I’ve had their Brooklyn Blackout Cake before (for my own birthday and my brother’s), as well as other pastries, and everything has always been excellent. I’ve recommended this bakery to friends many times, and after this experience, I will continue to do so with full confidence.
Amazing desserts, exceptional customer service, and a truly good human being behind the business. Highly, highly recommend.

Stopped here randomly a few days ago and was so enamored I had to come back. Everything I’ve gotten here has been delicious. The cookies blow my mind away but the biggest standout is that chocolate cake. I’d fight someone if it meant getting another bite of it. It’ll be death by chocolate…but not for me. Whoever gets between me and my next slice better watch out.

I recently ordered a half sheet Oreo cake from The Bakehouse by Joe Murphy for my boyfriend’s birthday, and it was absolutely amazing! The cake was huge, beautifully made, and they followed every single request I had — from adding layers of chocolate fudge between the sponge to mixing in crushed Oreos. It not only looked incredible but tasted even better! Everyone loved it. The attention to detail and flavor were perfect — definitely a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend this bakery for anyone looking for a custom cake done right!

Where do I begin?! I stumbled upon this bakery one day while I was dropping off a package at the UPS store that is right nextdoor to it. I had no clue there was a bakery here but once I looked up & saw a sign that said “Bakehouse” I knew I had to go in, & man am I glad I did
I work a few minutes down the road from here & because I have broadcasted my obsession about this bakery at work, now everyone at my job is obsessed as well
Their chocolate almond croissants are hands down one of the BEST croissants I’ve ever had. After that, I would rank the carrot apple muffins & raspberry cheese danishes as the best breakfast pastries I’ve ever tasted. My husband who isn’t even the biggest fan of baked goods & sweets, is absolutely addicted to the 3 I just listed & now bugs me to bring them home after work! I’ve created a monster
I’ve also tried the vanilla sprinkle cake as well as the blackout cake & they were both delicious. You can just tell everything is fresh & top quality here
If you’re in the area & in the mood for an AMAZING pastry, danish, muffin, you name it, you HAVE to stop here. It will NOT disappoint. This place is dangerously close to my job that I am here at least once a week now- you’ve been warned, once you try this place you will be hooked!
* Not to mention the inside is clean & easy to navigate. I’ve found that sometimes bakeries can be overwhelming when you step inside, but not this one. The girls behind the counter are also so sweet & inviting (shout out to Savannah & Alejandra!)

I happened upon this spot while waiting for my daughter to come out of lacrosse practice. We are not from the area and I was starving so I looked up coffee shops to get a quick bite. Bakehouse did not disappoint. I was greeted by friendly servers who were extremely helpful and kind. I inquired about the avocado toast since I had seen great reviews and didn’t see it advertised in the store. The cashier informed me he would have to asked the baker if it could still be made. The staff went out of their way to ensure I was happy and let me tell you the avocado toast was A-MAZ-ING!!! The bread was fresh, soft and warm on the inside with a great crunchy crust. The cheese and olive tampanade on top was chef’s kiss and the avocado was perfectly ripe.
I also purchased a few baked goods including 2 cookies, a carrot muffin, a mini-cheesecake and a stroganelle. Every dessert was on-point and I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of any of the bakery items because my family housed them as soon as I got home.
Highly recommend this establishment for their great service, excellent food, and fresh ingredients! I’ll certainly be back!

My wife and I stopped in and picked up some desserts. They had a lot of variety, and everything seemed so fresh. Everyone was very helpful. The croissants were great and crispy. The carrot cake was also one of the better ones I’ve had. Overall, it’s a great place for dessert, and I highly recommend it.

1000% worth the hype. I ordered a custom cake from another bakery for my daughter’s birthday party that cost me $100+. Also ordered the rainbow sprinkle cake from Bakehouse for a smaller party at the house with family. Everyone preferred the sprinkle cake by far. The cake texture is light and fresh, and the filling is just as light, fluffy, and not sugary sweet. We also tried the blackout cake and although I’m not a huge chocolate fan, I must say it was very tasty. Lastly the carrot cake muffin is definitely worth trying.
Staff were very friendly and wrote my daughter’s name on the cake within a few minutes.
