This was my birthday lunch and I left very happy. We ordered the malai kofta and paneer makhani. Both were delicious. The garlic naan and onion kulcha were both amazing. We had the mojitos as an additional treat and were happy with it. Additionally the waiter was helpful and courteous. Overall our experience was positive!

They have Indian, Chinese and Thai food which is wonderful because one of us loves spicy Indian food and one does not. Samosa Chaat was delicious with several sauces and crisp dough and softer potatoes and chickpeas. We liked it even more than the samosas. The Aloo Gobi was pretty spicy and so good! Sweet and sour chicken was reported to be very good. Portions are big. Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely phenomenal! As a local, it’s one of my favorite spots. Everything from the attentive service, to the delicious food, to the ambiance, the reasonable prices, and great portion sizes— everything is wonderful. I appreciate how seriously they take food allergies (plenty of GF options!) and they are excited and patient with menu recommendations. Truly a gem of the Poconos.

Spice Route is hands down one of the best places for flavorful Indian food! We were visiting nearby resorts and found this place to go to for quick dinner with friends. Umesh recommended the dishes based on what we like, The appetizers are a must-try – the Cauliflower Manchurian is perfectly crispy with just the right amount of spice, and the Chicken Malai Kebab is tender, juicy, and melts in your mouth. Their Lacha Paratha is soft, flaky, and pairs beautifully with curries, Paneer Makhani and Chicken Tikka Masala – rich, creamy, and full of authentic flavors.
The service was attentive, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to and highly recommend to anyone craving quality Indian cuisine!

Very disappointing experience. Staff members Umesh and Sahil were rude, made faces, and behaved as if serving water was a favor. When we shared feedback that the dal makhani had an overpowering elaichi taste, they dismissed it and said “it’s made like this only.” Our concern was laughed at, and they even tasted food from another plate to justify themselves. No effort was made to listen or replace the dish. Extremely unprofessional service.

Absolutely amazing!! From the ambiance, to the food to the service. Had the Chicken Biryani, Garlic Naan, Dal Tadka, and Butter Chicken. They were ALL delicious! My husband and I agreed- best dining experiences we’ve had in a very long time. Our server Natalie was pleasant and attentive. The management was also very nice and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!!

We went this place for dinner. Very disappointed Food was okay but cold ..all item is overpriced. 1 small can sprite is $3.50/- we ask for onion they said $1 they will charge … whatever you ask they have charges … we feel like we pay too much for that food even there is no test .. appetizers are okay but cold .. we get plastic Thred top of the garlic nan they said it’s comes out because we use plastic brash to spread butter !! I don’t know what to say compare to price the food and service is poor!!! I don’t want to go this place again ..

Came here while visiting a local friend. I was amazed with the ambiance of the place. I asked to be seated near the newer renovated area and was kindly given permission to.
My attendance as during a weekday around 12/1pm and the workers present were limited. Regardless, we were served promptly and were provided clarification when we asked questions.
The food options were limited for the lunch special however the main entrees were all available. When the food arrived at the table we were shocked at the portion size. Having been to many Indian restaurants, this restaurant offers smaller portion sizes.
In addition to smaller portion sizes some the meat dishes were not as tender as other restaurants I’ve been to.
Spice route Indian Cuisine offers customers a nice ambiance and clean environment go enjoy Indian food, but should consider larger portion sizes and more tenderization of the meat ( particularly the lamb ).
