Very authentic Indian cuisine small restaurant the food is absolutely outstanding. The kitchen is open and you can tell it’s clean the vibrant menu full of automatic appetisers and clay oven specialities, highly recommended.

I went to Spice palace today and was greeted by a young lady. I asked if I could order to go and that I have never eaten here before. The restaurant was clean and there were many personnel behind the counter. I ordered the Fried Chicken roll, it was good and spicy which I like. The Samosa Chat I ordered with no raw onion, it looked good, but I could not eat it as it was topped with raw onion. I also ordered the Dal soup which was hot and very flavorful, I also wanted to try the Gajar Halwa a carrot dish sweetened and cooked with milk, sugar and raisins. The Halwa had a weird texture as the carrot was pulverized and was not grated, then heated in the microwave, it was not enjoyable. I also tried a lemon lime beverage from India which I could not drink till I washed the top of the can. The beverage was cold and had a mild lemon lime flavor. The total bill $34.46, unfortunately the star of the meal Samosa Chat I could not eat. I might give them another try but I will open the pkg and check the food before I leave the parking lot.

I live in Lake Orion but drive to Ypsi for work. This is my second time here. After our first visit I fell in love with the tikki masala and the garlic naan bread. I ordered again today. Incredibly flavorful and delicious! I don’t know if I will ever be able order a different dish it is that addictive! The lady he works there is the same as my last visit. She is so polite and has a warm smile. I will visit her every time I can. I asked her to tell the cook how great everything was! I very much appreciate the polite service and warm smiles. Adding a perfect compliment to the chef!

Had a great first experience coming in for dinner tonight. I had been craving some aloo tikki chat and it was delicious! Garlic naan was also great! Would recommend and come again.

Ms. Elsira was so kind and took amazing care of us today! As a party of two, we were immediately seated, and we spent around $38 (not including our tip) on veggie samosas, an order of naan, and two entrees (butter chicken and bagare baingan). While my partner had hoped for a few extra pieces of chicken, we were overall very satisfied with the meal and felt like the portions were definitely still substantial, and everything really tasted like was made with all high quality and fresh ingredients. My favorite part was how easy it was to figure out which menu items were dairy free as someone with chronic GI issues, and I ended up loving my order, which was the bagare baingan.

The flavors didn’t come across as authentic Indian at all. The garlic butter naan was soft, flavorful, and well made, but the baingan bharta curry was quite average. The sesame gobi and aloo tikki were just okay too. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming.

I’ve eaten their food a couple of times, so here’s a simple review. North Indian food is good, but their South Indian dishes aren’t quite up to par.
Staff is friendly and nice.

We were excited to try Spice Palace for the first time last night. The food was delicious, so flavorful and fresh. I enjoyed Chana Masala and got the medium spice level. The sauce was rich and flavorful. My son ordered the Chicken Biriyani, his usual when we go to Indian restaurants, and it was the best he’s had. The spices were amazing! The garlic naan and Chicken Tikka Masala exceeded expectations. On top of the absolutely delicious food the service was great. Our server was attentive and kind. It was a very busy Friday. night with a lot of carry out orders and several tables inside were also full, but they managed it all very well. Highly Recommend!
