A nice little restaurant for authentic Indian cuisine! Don’t let the parking lot fool you – all those cars are for THIS RESTAURANT! This place was hopping for a Saturday evening.
The atmosphere is nice, but the food is where it’s at. I ordered the lamb korma with rice, (I asked for extra spicy (11)), along with chapati. The service was quick, and the food delicious. And they didn’t disappoint on the spice level.
While the restroom floor was sticky from too much cleanser perhaps, overall a nice restaurant with excellent quality food! Thanks for an enjoyable experience!

R and I had a very delicious supper.
The service was great. Very attentive. And friendly.
The menu had lots of yummy looking options. They were patient with us deciding and very helpful.
We had samosas, paneer pakoda appetizers, they were delivered quickly, hot and fresh.
Then we ordered the chicken vindaloo, lamb Marsala and chili and garlic naan.
It all came out rather quick, hot, fresh.
The Marsala was sweeter than we expected but very delicious.
We ordered a 7 level spice and the sweetness made it seem less spicy.
It was all delicious and fresh. Very tender meats. Excellent rice for absorbing all the wonderful sauce.
The chili garlic naan is very spicy.
So you know R loved it!
We have enough leftovers for 2 lunches.
It was a good price.
Highly recommend.
We will be back.

Visited the restaurant for the first time as we had to travel to the area. Ambiance was ok but ac did not seem to be working. Karan our server was very good but as busy as they were, an extra set of hands would’ve been great. Now if you are able to overlook that, the food was amazing. Spice level was spot on and flavor was great. Everything came out piping hot. Our dosas, which did not seem to be an item on the paper menu but rather online, was well stuffed and full of potatoes through the whole dosa. My wife had the tofu dosa and it was great too. We had some salted lassi and one mango lassi. Spot on as well. Can’t say we will be back due to location but it was very well worth the experience.

Was not planning to eat Indian food on my way home from Knoxville to Chattanooga. But, traffic was bad and GPS rerouted me to get off 75. Then made a quick stop at gas station and all I could smell was indian food in the convenience store. So, I went next store to check it out and read reviews on Google. Was nervous to eat an Indian buffet at a restaraunt attached to a gas station. Decided reviews were pretty good so we ate lunch @ 12:30 today. Service was pretty good. Welcoming staff as we walked in. Many vegetarian options. Not Vegan. Indian food usually isn’t. They did have those plastic shelves to keep people from breathing on food and they seemed set at a good height for that. There was naan, dessert , and masala Chai included. Naan was delivered to the table directly. Overall a great experience and we did not get sick or feel bad. Food was delicious! It might be a tad spicy for some and it was a heavy meal. You won’t be hungry for a long time. I definitely ate too much. Couldn’t help but try several items. The chai was pretty good. Naan seemed homemade, definitely Not from Costco. Rice pudding was awesome with cashews and plump dried fruit. Staff were attentive and pleasant. It’s a buffet so of course wash your hands after plating your food. Others do touch the handles of serving spoons. That is expected at a buffet. You could also order individual dishes if that concerns you. If there were anything I would change: bathroom needs a paint job or walls and light switch need a serious wipe down. I would probably not put the cash register next to the buffet, but I have seen this before at an Indian restaraunt near me. Last thing, maybe a solid wall to ceiling instead of just a half wall between convenience store and restaraunt. Although I never heard noise from the other side, it just feels strange for a restaraunt.

Despite how the outside looks, the inside is nicely done and the buffet is amazing! The naan is crazy good, and personally my favorite was the Tikka options that had the right amount of spice.

Far and away the best Indian restaurant I’ve encountered in the region, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Nashville included! Honestly, I think it’s even better than both my favorites in Louisville!
Papadam and chutney are included as an appetizer with the meal.
Three (!) different brands of imported Indian beers – Kingfisher, Flying Horse, and Taj Mahal – are available for purchase, which is about as many as you’ll find for sale anywhere else.
I ordered the chicken biryani (pictured). It had substance and style! I ordered a 3-4 (out of 10) on the spice and it was moderately hot (as was desired)… enough for a pleasant burn, but could still put it out with water! however if I had ordered a 1 there would have still been plenty of flavor. The portion sizes are shareable… which is great because I think this kind of food is best enjoyed with others.
There are plenty of chicken, paneer, and vegetarian options on the menu for picky eaters. Plus things like lamb and goat for the more adventurous.
Spice Hut offers really excellent stuff in a super approachable way! Looking forward to trying another dish next time. Well worth a drive from Knoxville to check it out!!!
