As a Texan living outside of Texas, finding real, quality BBQ is nearly impossible. So when my sister and I took a little road trip to Idaho, we decided to give this spot a try. The moment we pulled up, we knew we were in for something special. You can literally see the magic happening out front: rows of smokers going full force, the kind of setup that tells you this isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a craft. And you can definitely tell the owner has been running this place for 16 years, there’s a level of skill, pride, and flavor you just can’t fake.
Let me tell you… it did not disappoint. We’re officially obsessed. It’s only two hours from where we live, and we will 100% be making that drive again. The food was so good that after we finished our plates, we immediately went back and ordered more to take home for our families to try. And the buttermilk pie? Pure heaven. If you’re even thinking about stopping by, just do it. you won’t regret it.

Pulled for for lunch with my child. This place doesn’t disappoint. Trucker Special: ½ Rack Smoked Baby Back Ribs, 2x bbq drumsticks, pulled pork, garlic bread, baked beans, and rice for like $20. Al fresco dining, with shady trees, a cold Pepsi, and a bag of chips. Yum. Definitely worth the trip.

I’m so glad we stopped at Spero’s today! I tried the pulled pork sandwich and the homemade potato salad. My son had a bbq burger and my daughter tried the pulled pork too! The meat was tender and had great flavor. The service was friendly and fast and I loved talking to the owner about her business. We pass through Malad 2-3 times a year and I’m sad we haven’t stopped before! We’ll be back to try the ribs and bread pudding. Thanks for the great meal!

The best option for good bbq lunch on the road trip! Quantity is generous and price very accesible. They have a beautiful patio to enjoy your bbq. Staff is very friendly and they have even tasty dessert!

Ok guys this is an amazing local “hole in the wall” experience! Everything is homemade by a Greek grandpa, drinks $1 chosen from the coolers, wash your hands outside and enjoy in a backyard, outdoor dining.
Pros: great prices, decent variety, baklava!! Friendly people, lots of seating.
Cons: not the spot to use the pot: porta-johns
Hacks: kids pulled pork is huge, try the baklava and grape leaves. Use the bathroom at the Maverick up the road.

Not on a bun which was surprising but very good bread. Husband ordered Pulled Pork sandwich and really liked their tangy sauce on the side. I ordered Southern Pork sandwich, topped with coleslaw, which was very messy and good. Drinks are canned with a good selection but didn’t notice if they were diet or not. Parking lot isn’t huge but seems adequate so we weren’t expecting the variety and amount of seating behind the restaurant. Very good food and very good outdoor seating arrangement.

Delicious and mouthwatering food. Buttermilk pie was out of this world and I’m in love. A little non-traditional getting our drinks from ice chests outside but price was right and options were plentiful. I will be dreaming about this one until I can return.

Go here! The food is great. It’s ready almost as fast as you order. Walk up window. I gave it 4 stars on the atmosphere only because there isn’t fancy but it’s clean and there’s plenty of seating options. We got half racks of ribs and the were fall off the bone tender.
