We quite regularly dine at Speights and we’ve always received delicious food, great service which is usually super quick and efficient. Not very long wait times and prices are fair in today’s market. We love coming here and are always greeting with a smile! Keep it up guys

Have eatten here a few times now both lunchtime and dinner both menu’s are fine. The steak is great so is the beef Wellington alittle bigger would be great but still filling as is the stuffed chicken breast are fantastic. Would come back again next time in Nelson.

The young lady that was looking after our table was nice and helpful. Very well presented and spoke well. Nice kiwi girl. Food was on point compared to the last place we went to as a company that travels a lot. Staff were friendly. Going back again tomorrow and probably the day after that.

Been a while since I’ve really enjoyed a meal out that ticks all the right boxes food, service and atmosphere. Really impressed with the wait time on food it was long and it was all cooked to perfection the Beef Wellington was absolutely amazing, along with the Chicken Filo the desert was right on the money, postive atmosphere, highly recommend hand down you got to try it worth every cent

Our dinner at Speights was very disappointing. I had chicken tacos and the chicken was so crisped it was burnt to the point of charcoal. My husbands chicken burger was exactly the same. My friend had a beef salad which was flavorless. Although this is a great restaurant for kids and the service was good, the price and standard of the food would not bring me back here.

Average, Luke warm meat in my salad. Service was average they closed the bar around 9:30 on sat night however didn’t inform us when I asked for another drink they told us they were waiting for us so they could close. Would have been nice if they at least asked for final drinks.

Great food, large portions and big prices for mains. The cod cpuld have been fresher, but the ribs were excellent. Everyone had a great time and the service was very good. We had a table of 15 on a busy day and the wait was reasonable. Highly recommended.

Went out for dinner tonight with the family, greeted by this lovely lady with black hair and sat us down outside. The food was Good and there were two lovely blonde girls and one even said happy birthday to me and had a wee chat. But our main server with red hair was disgusting, she talked to us like children and felt like she was fully judging us. Every time she checked on us, she rolled her eyes and did the fakest smile you can ever see, she should not be a waitress with the way she was working. This just ruined our night and our experience.
