This is the best version of your typical, hole in the wall diner. Decorated in vintage 50s with 50s pop playing, it definitely sparks nostalgia. Speedy’s has daily specials like pot roast and meatloaf, but consistently keeps all the diner favorites on the menu. Locals’ favorite is thr taco salad, but I’m partial to side winders. Keep in mind, this is a small establishment, who does a lot of take out too, and since they are cooking all your food fresh, you might have a short wait. It’s worth it.

Speedy’s is an iconic Southern country food, family restaurant. The decor is 50’s Elvis, Marilyn, etc. It’s small and quaint. The food is good and prices are reasonable. Taco salad is the bomb. I always get BBQ chicken, Mac salad and turnip greens. Everything takes good with their iconic hush puppies!! Yum!!!

This place sets you back to Elvis’s time with the decor and music. When I went in it was just two people running the place, with all sorts of restaurants and business raising prices at a steady rate this place has managed to keep their food prices extremely reasonable and delicious at the same time. Places like this need to be supported by everyone in the community or around it, great staff, great food, great prices. I will definitely be back and I would recommend stopping here every so often for a tasty burger!

As a small business owner myself, I realize the importance of positive reviews. As a person with common sense, I also realize that there will be complaints and negative reviews. There are those who, if they were in the multitude fed by Jesus, would have complained that they would have preferred trout instead of tilapia, and really had hoped for rye bread because it would suit their digestive system better. Besides, with all that food, couldn’t the disciples have passed out little bottles of water to wash it down?

Edit: I tried to post a photo of the food but it would not upload for some reason. The food was good, BUT! The amount of food was not enough for the price I paid. It was almost 9 dollars for this small amount of Teriyaki chicken, rolls, this small amount of onion rings & hush puppies. I wish more chicken came with this. I’m not a very big person, and usually 9 dollars worth of food fills me up, this did not fill me up at all. That’s my only complaint. This is the first thing I have ordered from here. I definitely won’t get Teriyaki chicken again, unless they up portion size.
