If I could leave six stars I would I went in by chance I walk past this joint every day and never noticed it til today so as I was walking back from doing some shopping in town I stopped in not knowing this place from any other steak joint as I am not from this town I am a recent arrival as of the last couple months I got back to my place of residence and I opened it up and let me tell you what I saw was a culinary masterpiece if ever one could be made of such a sandwich this is an amazing cheese steak I opted for the XL because i figured I would have a piece and save the rest for another meal boy was I wrong I already polished off half this thing and it was huge I am glad I took a picture before this is by far the best cheese steak I have had in quite a few years bar none and this is coming from someone who grew up in Philly where we are known for our cheese steaks. I will definitely be back to this place the kid at the counter and I guess the other fellow was his grandmother worked so well together the kid who took my order was very personable and helpful and even allowed me to drink my soda then have a smoke outside before I even paid for my order I am very very pleased Speeds has a new customer you will see me again just remember I am the tall handsome older gentleman heavily tattooed all over my body who was wearing the Abercrombie sweater. This place is amazing hands down if you don’t know now you know better tell somebody and spread the joy ten bucks for a huge steak this thing is so heavy you could use this sandwich as a weapon if you needed to I carried it down E King Street like it was a baseball bat . Thanks guys great experience.

Shop was very clean and the man serving was so nice to my mother that I was like I’m leaving this guy a great review. The roll was perfect size and steak quality was great. I’m from Philadelphia and in my opinion this is best cheesesteak in Lancaster. Thank you and I’ll be coming back again!!!

In town moving my kid to college. He wanted a good burger. Based on reviews we went here. They had a paper sign that they were out of burgers.
The ordering process was chaotic with talking to two people.
We all ordered the cheesesteak which was the most basic cheesesteak I’ve ever seen. On a bun that was very similar to a hot dog bun and the cheese was not even melted. My kid found blue plastic in his sandwich.
For a place with Speed in the name it was incredibly slow. Soda fountain was down.
Would never eat here again.

Stopped in here on a whim because the restaurant we drove to Lancaster for had too long of a wait and we both wanted a burger.
Lemme just say, don’t let the appearance of the place sway your opinion. That being said it has a good bit of old school charm to it.
My boyfriend and I both got a bacon cheeseburger and wow, it completely blows 5 guys and other burger joints out of the water. One of the best burger I’ve ever had, and prices were great too!
We also got the bacon cheese fries and they were delicious. They also somehow remained crispy and hot during our 30 min drive home which is no small feat
This place is definitely going to be a regular stop when we’re in the area and hungry for a burger
(No pics because it was so good we ate TOO fast )

11/18/21. Visiting for McCaskey’s Class reunion and of course had to get a cheese steak sandwich and a sub! OMF! It’s a amazing how the flavors bring your taste buds alive to the past! There is nothing like lancaster’s steaks and subs, much better then Philly and New York can’t lick it! Now I have to take subs and steaks back to NY to tastecate my NY friends on what real cheese steaks are about! I love the bread!

The team I coach for stopped here for sandwiches on the way to our conference championships. For the price you really cannot go wrong. They were nothing luxurious but got the job done feeding my hungry team. Their staff was amazing in processing the order, I was able to send all of our customized orders ahead of time via email and the sandwiches were all ready when we got there. We even got a free box of chips!
