We were stuck in traffic so we made a very quick last minute decision to get a sweet treat and IT WAS WORTH IT!! This was really good ice cream and you can even enjoy it outside at the tables they have. If I’m ever in the area again, I would make a planned stop for another cone and try some of the other flavors!! (We had Choco Peanut Butter and Birthday Cake)

Poor customer service. Walk up to the front and the woman is at the inside counter on her phone. She really didn’t want to be there. Meanwhile her 4 year old son greets us. He’s pleasant but can’t help us.
We go inside to try to be served and she says there are no menus inside and to go back out.
We do. There is a large menu but no prices. Finally we spot a tiny one with prices. Over priced ice cream but since we had our kids we decide to order. The woman can’t hear us due to the highway noise so we go back inside to order.
For some reason there are racks of clothes I guess for sale but they have no prices. They’re just in the way of the counter.
Bizarre. Won’t go again.

I really loved this ice cream shack it’s very vibrant and nuanced which I was surprised about for being just a shack on the side of the road. They had a lot of great options and even though it wasn’t cheap it was totally worth it to get such a variety! I would highly recommend taking a stop here as it seems like it’s one of New Jersey’s best ice cream spots:)

Great selection of ice cream, shakes and specialty desserts in a pristine setting.
Service is excellent and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I’ve been back there several times since my initial review and the service and menu have only gotten better. Big shout out to Alex for taking care of my family and making my son smile.

We always love to come here! We travel 45 mins just to get ice cream from Sparta’s Shack! I’ve tried most of the flavors on the menu and I’m in love! The owner is such an amazing person and makes this such a great experience ❤️ and we got a frisbee!
