This restaurant had opened my taste palettes for trying Greek food it was the first time for me to try Gyros. I ordered from this Greek restaurant twice the second time was for my Birthday dinner. The pick up process was easy cause I just needed to pick up the food order that my sister had paid for in full amount online without having to sign anything afterwards. The Gyros with fries were very scrumptious including the feta cheese on the Gyros. I am thinking about ordering Gyros from just this place only cause the service from the employees were very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place and I am considering going here again for more Greek food.

Best pizza in all of Burke! We visited Spartans for the first time and it was amazing
We heard great things about the food here and it did not disappoint. You can tell that it’s a great restaurant because there was consistently a line out the door just to get in.

Next time we visit, I definitely want to try the breakfast! It looked so good!

This was our first time visiting Spartans Family Restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised. The place is big, and while the décor is a bit dated, it has that classic family restaurant charm. Our waitress, Jenny, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We ordered the gyro dinner and the Spartan pizza. Both dishes were delicious, flavorful, and generously portioned. Great food and great service. We’ll definitely be back!

My sister and I were home visiting my parents in Northern Virginia and they suggested ordering food for takeout from Spartans! I haven’t been there since the mid 2000s, but I remember the food being really good. However, both my sister, and I have since become vegan (no animal products), and they didn’t seem to be any options on the menu for us. So, I gave them a call, just to see if they could make something vegan. Honestly, I was just expecting a salad without cheese but I was lucky enough to talk to Athena, who went above and beyond and helping us put together a really great lunch option. She recommended getting a wrap with hummus, grilled vegetables, olive oil, and olives. Mine was on a spinach wrap, and my sisters was on a pita (both pictured – my sister added the Violife vegan cheese). It was delicious! My parents got the chicken souvlaki with coleslaw as aside. We also got an order of grape leaves, which happened to be vegan as is. The food was really good, but the service and support was outstanding. I really appreciated Athena taking the time to help us find something delicious, and we all really enjoyed our lunch. I will definitely be making this a regular takeout spot when I’m home visiting my parents!

PS, Spartans, if you read this – impossible sausage or beyond meat (inc crumbles) are both really tasty and would be great sub for any beef or lamb! And the Violife Feta is pretty good too!

Great, fast, friendly service. Amazing food. We had to try the feta fries appetizer, so good. The salad was excellent. For the main course I shared the Gyro and Pastrami sub with my wife, both really really good. The kidos had fish and chips, and chicken with veggies. Both of them loved it. We made it home and ate the rest for dinner (happily ordered way too much)

This was my first time really trying Greek food. I got the gyro with fries and coleslaw. The gyro was EXCELLENT with this really tasty sauce and the fries very good as well.

My only gripes are: 1. I do wish the combo didn’t come with only coleslaw because coleslaw isn’t even Greek nor Italian, and I always found it to have an off-putting taste.

2. I had to wait a long time to be served despite standing at the host/hostess for an eternity as the other employees continued serve customers that were seated. However the host who did eventually greet was very friendly.

Great experience as a whole, and I will return.

With or without your family, you can’t go wrong eating lunch or dinner here. Good casual, family dining. I love their meatball subs and gyros. My daughter always orders the pizza, and I always enjoy stealing a slice from her. Budget friendly prices, too.

Our family enjoyed an excellent meal at Spartans two days ago. Not only did we find the food was excellent but our waitress did a fabulous job taking care of us. She was extremely attentive to all of our needs. This was our first time dining at Spartans and we have already been talking about another evening in their restaurant.

I probably should have just come in person. I ordered the spinach pie to go and the entire thing was soggy spinach with a thin layer phyllo and a sprinkle of cheese. Everyone was super kind at the restaurant. It came with random cheese and a tomato in the corner. Not worth $20 in my opinion. I wish the pie at least tasted good.

Restaurant is racist. As an asian American I waited patiently for 10 minutes and had to call multiple servers for their attention because no one looked our way while white Americans were seated and served immediately way after we were seated. They gave us 1 menu for a family of 4 and didnt even ask if we wanted a drink and just left after we were seated. Had to call over 3 servers before they finally took our order.
