I had the most wonderful time at Spartan Gyros. The staff were friendly, food was DELICIOUS, and restaurant atmosphere was fantastic. I had a lovely conversation with one of the workers, Anastasia, about their mascot, the Spartan.
My family and I are from NC, but were in Williamsburg for vacation. This was our first time at Spartan Gyros, but certainly not our last. Our family tried quite a bit of their food, including the spanakopita, traditional gyro, lamb bowl, Greek burger, Spartan gyro, and dolmades. We all absolutely loved the food we ordered.
Furthermore, the restaurant was decorated with images/items/artifacts of the Spartan, which I loved to see. My university (UNCG)’s mascot is coincidentally a Spartan, so I certainly appreciated all of the items on display.
All in all, 10/10 experience. Will 100% be back next time we are in Williamsburg. And as my dad told the staff as we left the restaurant, we certainly did “eat like a warrior”.

A hidden gem in Williamsburg. Had the chopped gyro salad. Veggies were fresh and crispy, and the gyro meat was flavorful and appeared to come off a spit. Good portion sizes and attentive staff. Love their tzatziki and fried zucchini. My go-to when I’m in W’burg.

The food was excellent. We had great service. The food was delicious. The waitress was excellent and seemed to be constantly taking care of cleaning and greeting guests and helping guest and bringing out the food. I would definitely eat here again and recommend this place based on the service alone.

Loved the food, by far the best ive ever had, not only was the hummus and tzatziki clearly made from scratch, but the pita bread we had was grilled and had such good flavor. I personally recommend the king leonidas bowl and get pita on the side, you will feel full and have just enough room to try the delicious baklava cheesecake, that was really good as well, 10/10 this is my new go to for greek food.

THE Best Greek Salad I’ve eaten in a looooong time (& I been around many decades!). Extremely fresh!!! Even the Tomato tasted like a real ! And the Gyro meat ; better than the salad!! Ordered an app of Humus to knosh on while we waited for our order and the Pita was hot and crispy right off the grill, and pillowey soft inside. Oh, and the Humus; outrageous! Good thing our dinner showed up just as we finished or I would have ordered another Humus!!! This little, unassuming place on Richmond Road (close to Bypass) is a Destination Dining experience for a casual lunch or dinner!! And the drive-thru and take-out is just as good !! Check ✔️ them out next time you’re Jones’n for good Gyro or Greek food; you won’t be disappointed!!!

This place is legit! I got the traditional gyro and it was amazing! One of the best one’s I’ve ever had. My daughter had the pita bread with tziki sauce and she was so happy! The pita bread was warm and fluffy and perfect. We’ll definitely be back!!

Feb 27, 2026 – I had the worst experience here today unfortunately. It started with a mix-up of my order in drive-thru and the young man taking my order not understanding what I said, apparently. I also could not understand his read back of order due to his accent. I ended up getting home with the wrong salad and proceeded to call them back to let them know. Both the young man that took my order and his manager that called me back later both found it necessary to argue with me and tell me I was the problem BECAUSE I DIDNT CATCH THEIR MISTAKE!! Please tell me you’re kidding. I am mind blown!! The manager told me I was the problem because “i got what I paid for on the receipt” and I was rude for expecting otherwise. I tried to tell him that was not the issue and that the ACTUAL issue was that I asked for a Greek Chicken Salad not a house salad (which I did not even know they had because I’ve never ordered one). I tried to explain to him that the actual problem was you gave me something I did not ask for and I just want it fixed. He continued to argue with me and then told me I was being difficult and rude (apparently for speaking logically to him) and then said I’M DONE WITH YOU and hung up on me! I have never been treated so absolutely disgustingly horrible in my life at any restaurant in town and I will never ever again patron this establishment. It’s unfortunate because I used to go here at least 8 times a month. I get the same exact order every time I go and I’ve never once said it incorrectly or gotten anything wrong until today, so logically it must be MY fault. Yep! That makes perfect sense! Good grief!! Their manager really needs to learn how to properly treat customers when they screw something up. This was not the way to do it AT ALL!! I have never been left so furious for such poor service in my life!! He actually told me I WAS THE PROBLEM!! He said, I was being rude because I told him he was wrong. How is it rude telling an establishment they did not give me what I asked for and were wrong?! Just TRUTH. HOW?!! EXPLAIN THAT LOGIC?! WOOOOOOW!!!!! THE AUDACITY. . .

We visit everytime we’re in town, what a happy find! Never have had anything less than amazing food and customer service. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The food is prepared to order and delicious. Tzatziki sauce is on point. VERY generous portions. Very rare my husband can’t finish off my meal when I have anything left, but he’s stuffed here.

I went here a month ago and forgot to write a review until now. I loved the lights they had up! (It made it easy to find the place too.) Everything was at a reasonable price (I think my gyro, which was definitely a good portion, was around $10). The gyro was super tasty and filled to the brim with meat! The tzatziki sauce was delicious and flavorful. The service was also fantastic. I definitely recommend eating here!

Long brown hair in my chicken AND bug on the rim of the drink. Unsanitary and gross. EDIT: just by skimming the reviews I’ve found at least 2 other reviews that mention they’ve found hair in the food. That’s concerning and says a lot about this establishment
