It all started with a simple question – “Where can we get a good burger?” We are a full service, family friendly restaurant located in a re-purposed 1920’s Dairy bottling plant in the historic harbor district of Conneaut, Ohio. We serve fresh from scratch sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, and unique daily specials. We also have a full service bar with an impressive selection of craft beers, spirits, and wines. We regularly feature hand-crafted cocktails with seasonal ingredients, fresh juices, and premium spirits. In addition to our chic and cozy dining room, we now feature a four-season heated patio where you can savor the lake breeze in the summer or watch a killer snow storm in the winter while enjoying your meal.

Got the nacho platter, fried cheese curds, jumbo pretzel with beer cheese, pepperoni rolls, and a root beer. Everything was excellent! Great service, friendly staff, nice environment, clean restaurant, and owners are very nice and oversee everything. I’ve had the burgers, curly fries, fish sandwich, and various desserts previously. All excellent. Definitely recommend Sparkys!

My family and I wanted to try something different, some place that we had never been before. I had the Carolina burger and the onion rings, the craft cola and as an appetizer the pickle fries. You get a lot of food for your money, I could barely finish what I got. Everybody else took food home with them. I really like the Carolina Burger but it’s not something to eat like a standard Burger, or at least I couldn’t I had to use a knife and fork, because otherwise I would have been wearing it. The craft cola tasted exactly like Coke, I could not have been able to tell the difference even if I had them side by side. The onion rings were decent. The outdoor seating was fun, the service was great.

Sat late lunch. Small crowd watching Cleveland playoff game. Sparky’s is clearly set up for a summer crowd with lots of outdoor seating. Some outdoor seating is enclosed by rain curtains with heaters for year round use.
Immediately seated. Friendly engaging waitress chatted about the food. We skipped the burgers for a taco salad and Ultimate Fish Sandwich. And sampled a cup of the Guinness Chili. The chili was great. A solid taste. I prefer more cumin in mine but it was good.
The Salad and sandwiches came and they were huge servings. The fish sandwich was two huge breaded fillers, 14 inches long, 4 inches wide breaded with potato chips and served on a standard 4 inch brioche with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion. Tartar sauce was the only condiment. A small cup of Cole slaw finished the meal.
I cut one filet in half and doubled it on the bun. I ate the 2nd filet with the slaw. I finished all but that was just a huge amount of food.
As we were leaving, a customer passed out and 911 was called. Luckily a person with some EMT training stepped in.
All in all, very happy with Sparky’s. Kind of a dive/sports bar with a really bad decor. But the food was top notch.

Great outdoor atmosphere. The food was decent. Wings needed just a smidge more sauce. Salad was good-tasty ranch. Drink was tasty. Here’s the low down… I try to never ding the wait staff. But our waitress was sick. She sniffled the entire time every time she was at the table. Constant sniffling. C-o-n-s-t-a-n-t ! It was gross. I tried to not imagine her handling my food. But then my senses were attuned and i could hear it everywhere. She needed to go home and let that $&!@ work itself out. Also-outside chairs with arms are super uncomfortable. Try to nab the ones without arms

We were here back in Sept. for the 1st time. Our whole experience here was great. We sat at the bar. Most importantly our bar maid was very friendly and personable and the owner took time to talk to us and explain some drinks and about his place. We came within an hour of closing, but they didn’t rush us out and the food was fresh, honestly some of the best bar food we’ve ever had. I suggest you try the ham loaf appetizers if they still offer it. The frozen lemonade drinks were perfectly tasty! Very friendly people and I hope our trucking travels brings us this way again! I think this is my 1st 5 star review. Well worth it. Thank you for a welcoming experience.

Stopped in while out viewing covered bridges in the county. We were hungry so didn’t take pics of the food but it was all delicious. They have a HUGE beer selection of which hubs tried 2. I had a frozen lemon cream pie cocktail which was really good. Talked to the owner Sparky and he was very knowledgeable and helpful about the area. A really fun quirky place with Christmas Story memorabilia that I enjoyed

Came here on a really hot day, cold ac, amazing frozen cherry limeade slushy things, all in all amazing food and summer did an amazing job as a server! Hope to be back soon, if you haven’t tried you won’t regret!

The atmosphere and service were great. However, our meals were underwhelming. The wings were our favorite of the things we ordered, but could have used more sauce. The pizza tasted a step up from my school lunch pizza on Friday. The burger was tasty, but my bun was a bit hard and chewy. Also the curly fries tasted over fried and had started to wrinkle, with minimal potato substance. The beer menu was fantastic and the cocktails looked great! We would definitely return for drinks, but our meals left a lot to be desired.
