On my recent trip to Miami, I stopped by Spanglish for happy hour, and it turned out to be a solid spot for a budget-friendly drink and bite. The happy hour deals are great—house cocktails for just $7 and a selection of small bites that are well worth the price.
Food-wise, the shishito peppers were tasty, the fried cheese cubes had a nice crisp-to-melty balance, the tostones were well-prepared, and the tuna tostada was flavorful. Everything was well-executed, making happy hour a great time to visit if you’re looking for solid bites without breaking the bank.
The drinks? Decent—not mind-blowing but definitely drinkable, especially for the price. The bartender started off cool but got a little too chatty about his recreational activities, which gave off a bit of an egotistical vibe. Nothing too off-putting, but it slightly soured the experience.
Overall, Spanglish is worth visiting for happy hour. The food deals are good, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the ambiance isn’t bad. Would I go out of my way to come here outside of happy hour? Probably not. A solid 3/5—good, but not a must-visit.

From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance made me feel instantly comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the evening. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes. The presentation of the food was visually appealing. Moreover, the portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left feeling satisfied. The restaurant had a well-curated wine list, and the sommelier recommended the perfect pairing for my meal. Overall, it was a delightful experience that showcased the restaurant’s dedication to culinary excellence, impeccable service, and attention to detail. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

I love the vibe here! Great music, ambiance, food and cocktails. I was blown away with the food. It was delicious! Lots of flavors and variation with the dishes. Small plates, so don’t look for big portions here, but totally worth the taste and experience. The dumplings and beef wagyu were out of this world! The cocktails are delicious can’t go wrong with any of the choices.

My glass was chipped, the waiter right away had a new drink made and also offered tuna tostada on the house. I was extremely impressed and satisfied with the service. Amazing vibe, drinks and food. The staff is on point and they know how to take care of their costumers. Thanks again.

This place was on my “want to go” list for a while and I’m really glad I went! Our server Eloyr was great, super attentive, friendly, patient, and gave really good service. We started off as a table of 2 but wound up having another 3 people join us and they were very accommodating. The food was amazing! The portions are kind of small, and it’s a little pricey, but that was expected for the area. They have unique drinks, and the food and drinks came out quickly + tasted really good. From what I saw it’s only indoor seating, and they have a door that opens up to the place next door which is Grailz. I thought that was interesting. I love the design and atmosphere. Parking is on street (Wynwood parking). Overall I really enjoyed the service, atmosphere, and food here. If you’re in the area you should definitely check it out!

I had reservations for a 9 PM seating for four people on Saturday night. I arrive at 8:55 PM and am told that our table is not ready so we should grab a drink by the bar to wait but to not worry that we were next. As we were walking to the bar, the hostess tells us to “remind her” that we were waiting on a table. After 25 minutes we go back to the hostess to ask for an update and she tells us that they are “figuring it out.” I then see them put two tables together and seat a party of 4 after she had told us that we were next in line for a table. We once again go back and she says that the next table to get up is now ours. Two separate parties of two get up who were seated next to each other and she sits two separate couples that arrived after us there instead of seating us. We then see a guy is helping her seat everyone so we ask him for an update and he says the hostess had never even checked us in. My party of four was finally seated at 9:50 PM in a table for two people. We were extremely cramped but at that point we were glad we had a table. We are waiting at the table for another 25 minutes without anyone coming to give us water or ask if we would like to order anything. We flag down the hostess who tells us the server is very busy but she helped us get our waitress to our table to place our order. The food is tapas style so we ordered a few dishes to try everything. We did not wait long for the food to come out. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. We did not regret ordering anything. Since placing our meal order, our waitress never once came back to see if we needed anything. To order dessert it was another mission to flag her down which was unsuccessful and once again had to ask the hostess twice to please call our waitress over. Once we placed the order and the desserts arrived, they were delicious.
Now I know why this establishment has such horrible service, because the waitress knows she’s getting automatic 18% gratuity included in the bill. I literally saw this waitress twice the entire night, and boy was it difficult to find her and get her to come to the table. While the food is very good and there is a lively ambiance, I am unwilling to go through the fiasco and complete lack of respect that is there service.

Loved the vibe of the place. The food was good and the drinks were great. Our server struggled a little but he was server and also bartender and he was working very hard giving it 110%. Would go back for drinks.

Dined at Spanglish for the first time on Valentine’s Day. They offered an exceptional pre-fixed, 3 course menu with several magnificent choices for each course along with 3 selections from their full cocktail menu. Each course was exceptional along with the ambiance, service and entertainment. My husband and I were tended to by just about every service professional in the restaurant. The attentiveness of the entire team was world class. We are already looking forward to dining at Spanglish in the very near future and ordering from their regular menu…..the options sound delectable. Also have recommended to our friends.

We searched for a place in Wynwood for tapas and ran into this listing that had great reviews. We complete agree, our tapas or appetizers and cocktails were spectacular! Don’t be fooled like we were the first time we tried to visit this place a week earlier, they are not closed! Just walk on in the gold door to the left with the heavy black tints. The tints make it dark and romantic inside, once you’re in, you’ll be swept away to this old Havana bar vibe with good music, decor and wall art. The service was amazing, the food was unique, fun and delicious as were the drinks. Definitely recommend for a date night or handing out with a small group of friends.

Can’t get enough of this spot. Everything about it is amazing, from the stellar food to the phenomenal service. I’ve been a big fan of Grails in Wynwood for quite some time, so I was super excited to give this spot a try, given that it’s by the same owner and they share the same kitchen. I was so impressed that I’ve been back numerous times already. Some of my recommendations off of the menu include the Coconut Shrimp Ceviche, Caribbean Dumplings, and the Arroz Mamposteado. As I mentioned, you really can’t go wrong with anything off of the menu, but these were the main highlights for me. Their cocktail menu is also stellar: all the drinks are quite strong, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Definitely a must try for date night in Miami.
