The food was excellent… The little Mac and cheese balls were amazing! The Italian wedding soup seemed to be made from scratch and was great. Same goes for the chicken parmesan and spaghetti. We got there at noon so they just opened. The place is huge so it was bit chilly inside, I’d suggest eating in the trolley where it was warm. The only negative is it wasn’t cleaned from the night before. The bathroom had paper towels thrown on the floor with full trash bins. The entrance, lobby and bar area floors were covered in salt from the parking lot. Perhaps the cleaning crew didn’t show up!

I went to this place for the first time last night and I’m now very bummed that it’s closing. The food was great which was unexpected. The service was a little rough but there was a huge party going on in the restaurant so that can be forgiven. The waitress was very apologetic though. But definitely avoid the Alfredo. It came out looking like it was made of plastic, but luckily we were already full from the giant appetizers and salads so the restaurant took it back and took it of the order. Hopefully they stick around or move to another location and don’t close entirely.

We find ourselves in the urban jungle, under the cloak of a winter’s night. Before us, emerging from the damp darkness, stands a colossal brick edifice – a watering hole of a different kind. This is the Spaghetti Warehouse, its presence announced by the warm, dilapidated luminescence of its neon signage, once a beacon in the now otherwise desolate asphalt landscape.

Observe the structure: a testament to a bygone era of industrial design, now repurposed to shelter a different sort of activity. The wet pavement reflects the artificial light, creating a shimmering mirage around its base. It is a solitary giant, seemingly dormant, yet awaiting the hopeful return of a nocturnal migration of hungry travelers seeking sustenance within its cavernous halls.

One feels a sense of awe, a quiet reverence for this architectural survivor. Its windows, like the eyes of a great nocturnal beast, offer only cryptic glimpses of the life that might have onced stirred within.

And yet, amidst this silent grandeur, a young voice from the back seat – a fledgling explorer of but eight years – offers a stark, unfiltered assessment of this concrete and brick leviathan:

‘This place should be closed. It was terrible.’

A fascinating perspective, reminding us that even the most imposing of structures can be viewed through a different, more critical lens. One is left to ponder the mysteries that lie beyond those heavy wooden doors, and the stories this silent sentinel could tell, if only it could speak.

This place used to be so good. Now, everything costs extra and the quality has gone drastically downhill.
The worst part is the bread. If you have had the bread in the past, you know how good it was.
If you have the bread now, you know what I’m talking about. It is nearly inedible.

Since moving to Ohio a year and a half ago, my family and I have made it a point to try different restaurants around the area. One place that caught our attention was the Spaghetti Warehouse in Akron, located right next to the University of Akron. I first discovered it through DoorDash while picking up orders in the area, and since we’re big fans of Italian food, I suggested we give it a try. We decided to go there as a way to celebrate two special milestones—our daughter moving into her dorm and our son starting 7th grade.

The moment we walked in, we were struck by the restaurant’s unique, nostalgic decor. It has an old boardwalk theme, complete with vintage arcade machines like the claw game and a love tester, which both my kids and my wife enjoyed. It gave the place a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

We were greeted and seated by our server, Jackie, who was fantastic throughout our visit. She was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Unfortunately, while looking over the menu, we noticed several items that were listed but not actually available, which was disappointing.

For food, my wife chose to build her own spaghetti with the Pomodoro sauce—a blend of marinara and Alfredo—and she really enjoyed it. She also had the house salad with ranch, which she said was fresh and flavorful. My son built his own spaghetti with meat sauce and two meatballs, and he loved his meal as well. I decided on the 15-layer lasagna, which the menu described as “incredible.” Sadly, I didn’t feel the same—it looked a little burnt, tasted chewy, and reminded me more of a frozen lasagna than something freshly made.

Overall, the food was hit-or-miss. My wife and son enjoyed their meals, while mine was underwhelming. The service, however, was excellent, and Jackie really made the experience more enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with a fun atmosphere and decent spaghetti, Spaghetti Warehouse isn’t a bad choice. Just be prepared for a few menu inconsistencies and don’t expect every dish to live up to the hype.

Restaurant smells of sewage! Salads were mediocre and entrees were gross. The Alfredo sauce tastes like gravy from breakfast. It was warmed up from the day before so it was separated into oil and chunky white blobs of despair. The meatball sandwich was a single meatball on a cold piece of bread they sliced, average at best. The worst was saved for last, we ordered the cheese pizza and applesauce. Once my child ate a bite of the applesauce she said it tastes bad. So wondering why a 6 year old would say applesauce was bad I tried it and she was right it was so bad in fact it had fermented into a apple wine flavor. The pizza had so much sauce that it was dripping over the sides of the crust making it the sloppiest pizza for a child.

We have enjoyed Spaghetti Warehouse for years.
I picked up lunch there today and I was very surprised. The bread has been changed from the staple that we all know and love to something unrecognizable. The new bread was cut from a larger loaf and super greasy. The wedding soup has changed as well. The original small meatballs we love have been replaced by chucks of meat that seem to be made from the same meat that the new meatballs are made from. I ordered the standby standard lunch size spaghetti and meatballs. The consistency of the meatballs is different and strange, and the spaghetti was very overcooked. I hope this restaurant re-considers these changes because I was fully let down.
