They have mainly indoor seating, but there is also an outdoor front patio for warmer weather. There is a full bar serving local beers and craft cocktails. Art from local artists decorates the walls.
The food here is fantastic and the service is top notch. Everything is made-to-order and prepared from scratch so there can be a little bit of a wait for your food. This also means there can be longer seating wait times during busy dinner times so please go early and/or be patient. Trust me, the wait is worth it. Fortunately for us, we went during lunch on a slower day, but we were told we missed their busy time.
The blue cheese burger and pastrami were suggested to us by the very friendly server so we ordered those along with the hand-cut fries and homemade ketchup, a side salad, and an order of beignets (French, square donuts). We ordered these to go because we were full, but the server suggested to eat them while they were still warm and we are so glad she did because they were divine.
I enjoyed everything about this experience and will definitely visit again when in town. I am looking forward to the next visit!
The place itself is also very welcoming. They have a few toys for those with little kids and, as I first time mom, who forgot her baby’s toys, it was a lifesaver.
The place is very cozy as well and you can tell the owner really cares about the local community. You can see art for sale and a handful of fliers promoting local events. Truly a gem.
Something had clearly gone south in the kitchen before we arrived. 45 minutes in, I realized a table of 4 had ordered before we arrived, had just been served. Ok, stuff happens. We ordered a patty melt and french dip and settled in for the wait. Again, stuff happens. We’re good.
However, when the food arrived…we were surprised. The roast beef was tough and beyond salty. The rare patty melt was so well done it crumbled. The fries were lukewarm. The dessert seemed frozen/defrosted/ Not made in house.
I rarely comment on anything like this but I’m hoping the owners see this and make the appropriate changes. This is where we want enjoy.
Pleasantly surprised with the food! We ordered the veggie soup of the day and different sandwiches. All were equally delicious. And those fries were pretty close to amazing!
I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to stop by here and enjoy a good meal. The server was very nice and friendly as well!
We came from San Diego and local people where it’s worth eating, we didn’t expect this quality, service and taste!! 100/100!!!
Really pretty mural on the wall!
Mom got the vegan nuggets… They were overcooked but the fries were great.
Then the waitresses are not friendly and are loudly talking with each other so it cuts into the atmosphere and your conversations.
