Space Cowboy was nothing short of an experience. My wife and I had an amazing time from start to finish. The atmosphere is next level — stylish, vibrant, and just a whole vibe.
The food? Absolutely on point. Every dish was plated beautifully and packed with flavor. The drinks were just as impressive — smooth, balanced, and crafted perfectly.
And the highlight? The little robot bringing out our food and drinks. Such a cool, futuristic touch that made the night even more memorable.
Shoutout to our server as well — attentive, friendly, and made sure everything flowed perfectly.
Overall, delicious food, great drinks, fun atmosphere, and a unique experience. Definitely recommend and we’ll for sure be back.

The exterior look does not even hint at the interior space vibe. The cloud lighting and effects with tracked robot delivery pods is a unique vibe.
As a first-time visitor, the whole restaurant experience was quite eclectic; additionally, we were celebrating a birthday.
We decided to try several popular appetizers, sides and entrees, then share amongst ourselves.
The duck ravioli appeared to be rich but the sauce was lighter than you may suspect. It was nice to share between the four of us.
Our appetizer choices were Space Balls and Seared Brocollini. They were a good start and an opportunity to test out the robot delivery system.
For mains, we had the Duck Ravioli and 2 Braised Short Ribs. Substituted Stardust and Regular Fries for the vanilla mashed potatoes since we weren’t willing to have a double serving of an unknown entity.
After sharing the prior servings, we added 3 Cowboy Sliders to feel satiated.
The birthday dessert was a seasonal pear tart with ice cream.
Our server, Mike, was extremely helpful in selecting drinks, food and negotiating the overall flow of the restaurant. It was slightly busy and noisy but still conversable.
The robot may occasionally stop and offer unsolicited servings but they shouldn’t be taken.
Reservations are recommended, parking appears available but we walked.

This was my first time at Space Cowboy, and I must say that my experience was phenomenal! From the charm of the little robot waiters, to the attentiveness of my human server, Adam, and the absolute care put into the food, this is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had.
The restaurant is space and western themed, with that theming crossing over to the dishes on the menu. Each drink and dish I tried was very well crafted and perfectly cooked. The stardust fries were perfectly seasoned and went perfectly with the spicy aoli sauce. The risotto was beautifully creamy and wonderfully fragrant. The short ribs were amazingly tender, juicy, and fell straight off the bone. And the pear tart was to die for!
If you’re ever in the East side of Austin, give this place a visit! Its food is as delicious as the place is charming.

So this was my first time visiting this spot. I love the space theme and it reminded me of the Jetsons. The food was good, the service was excellent. Michael was very informative about the food and drink choices. He had some good suggestions and I want to say that he was 3 out of 3!! We were pleased with the choices! Also it was awesome to have our drinks and food come around the rail in the capsule. I was all smiles when it came by. I will most definitely be back and I will recommend.

An excellent restaurant as a guy, space is an easy way to keep me entertained and engaged. Do recommend a reservation, parking lot is pretty small, the waiting area also small, the ergonomics need some adjustment. The interior decor and all is absolutely fabulous, I want my house to have all the space things in it. Food is brought to you but a trolley or track syste, super fun and entertaining. I had the steak tartar, the cowboy duo sliders, the duck entree and finished with the toffee dessert! Will be coming back. Highly recommend!
Tip for the restaurant: have pictures of the dishes. I ordered food, it came out looking great but it wasn’t easy for us at the table to figure out what dish was whos. I don’t want to play a guessing game, small but simple wins add to a customers experience. Additionally, the current menu shows the Mars beer as a 5.2% ABV, it should reflect 6.2% ABV.

We stumbled upon Space Cowboy and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was excellent and very unique. We really enjoyed the robots zooming around with food and drinks and when the robots didn’t bring it out, we were greeted by a cowboy. The space balls were delicious, the stardust fries were underwhelming, both the ube panna cotta and the meringue were absolutely mouthwatering! They also brought me a surprise cotton candy to celebrate my birthday! I will be returning in the future.

Went here for my birthday 11/15 did not have a reservation and the host was kind enough to work us in on a busy night (wish I would’ve got her name). Till this day my parents have not stopped raving about the food we had here. They were visiting from Houston and can’t wait to come back just to eat here again. The concept was fun and edgy. All around an excellent experience.

Space cowboy is a very unique restaurant which employs little robot helpers to aid in serving drinks and dishes. It was a very cool experience and we enjoyed it. They have a small menu but everything is carefully crafted and prepared. The appetizers were some of our favorites. The risotto with shrimp was also quite tasty

First time checking out this spot and had a great time. The food was good, but the vibes were better. The menu had an upscale feel while the vibe was a whimsical and fun. The staff was great and shout out to Carly for knowing her stuff. I recommend eating the space balls which were different and the duck ravioli. I did enjoy the braised beef, but it seemed like something you’d expect eating anywhere. No matter what you order, you’ll have a fun time. Reservations are encouraged to grab a spot, but I walked in and waiting for a half hour or so.
