Delicious food, rain or shine or snow. Even in the middle of a snowstorm, We went to S&P Oyster for a team dinner and is a hit. The atmosphere is vibrant and the food is top-notch. I can only imagine how incredible the experience is on a clear day, but the quality of the food made the trip worth it regardless. I can’t wait to return during the warmer months to see the other side of this beautiful spot.

We stayed at the Steamboat Inn and they recommended we go to S&P Oyster restaurant and bar for dinner so we did. My wife and I shared the Mediterranean calamari for an app and it was delicious. I had the jumbo crab cake meal and my wife got the fettuccine with scallops and we were both happy with our choices. The atmosphere was great and so was the staff, in particular our server Ashley! Definitely check it out if you’re in town!

Really enjoyed a Monday lunch. The calamari was very flavorful and cooked perfectly we split a salad and I had the seared scallops with the couscous there was a nice piece of feta in the middle of the couscous and it was wonderfully creamy our waiters were knowledgeable and pleasant. We also had the shrimp and blue corn fritters. We didn’t really need the desert but it was wonderful we split the flourless chocolate cake

What can I say!? Very warm welcome, only a short wait of 15 minutes. The atmosphere is very warm and calm. As for the food, it’s delicious. The meat is cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes are perfect.
Despite their broken English, the servers adapted, thank you to them.

Just stopped by for a cocktail as wanted to sit by the water with outside seating. No seats outside so sat upstairs at the bar the overlooking the water. Had some oysters and Martini’s. The bartender was great, she was very personable. Enjoyed talking to others sitting next to us. Atmosphere upstairs was great. Will try dinner there next time. Definitely a must try in the area. Very cool watching drawbridge in operation.

My husband and I visited S & P Oyster Co. on our honeymoon, and it truly could not have been a more exquisite experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and perfect for a special occasion.
We started with fresh oysters on the half shell, pan-seared octopus, and pan-seared scallops, each dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely outstanding. For our entrées, we enjoyed the sesame-encrusted yellowfin tuna and the homemade squid ink pasta, both of which were exceptional in flavor and quality.
Our waiter, Jeff, made the night even more memorable. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and kind, offering wonderful recommendations and never rushing us. The drinks were fantastic as well and complemented the meal perfectly.
S & P Oyster Co. gave us a honeymoon dinner we will never forget. We can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to return. We make it a point to come every year!

I really enjoyed dining at S&P Oyster Restaurant. They are right on the river next to the drawbridge. You can watch the bridge open and close and the boats going by.
The service was amazing and the food was delicious! All the vegan choices made it difficult to decide!
I had the Beet and Avocado Tartare as an appetizer, the Stuffed Red Pepper for my main dish, and an amazing vegan mousse with coffee for dessert. Every bite was so delicious I didn’t leave anything on my plate!
Make reservations ahead of time because it’s difficult to get a table if you just drop in!

What a pleasant surprise! I ordered scallop pasta and my husband ordered swordfish with risotto. It was so good we both cleaned our plates. I had a rose with dinner and he had a hot & dirty martini. For dessert in had the peanut butter & chocolate martini and he had an espresso martini with Baileys. What an experience! Everything was perfect; the view, the food, the drinks, and staff.

Our first time in Mystic and S&P came highly recommended. Besides the heat, we had a wonderful dining experience. The host and server (Ryan) were amazing. We waited for the patio to open because it would have been a 2.5 hour wait for a table indoors. If you’d like to eat inside, you should definitely make a reservation (it would have been preferable since it was so hot outside but we still enjoyed the patio setting and close proximity to the drawbridge — we loved watching the boats sail by as we ate). Overall, the food was delicious. We started with their Thai Calamari which was exceptional (top tier) — best we’ve ever had! Their Crispy Seafood Platter and Chicken Yucatán were also very good (risotto tasted even better the next day). I was a bit disappointed by the Lobster Ravioli — I called and expressed my concerns to Jeremy (manager) and he was very considerate and resolved the issue in a timely manner. Very pleased with how he handled everything. We didn’t have room for dessert, maybe next time. If you’re in Mystic or planning a trip, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at this fine establishment — the location, service, ambiance, and food cannot be beat!
