I ordered donburi and the taste was not good. The meat tasted more like fat than meat!

Lovely place, warm and cosy.
Not too loud, not too lousy.
The food was alright, sadly the runs came to pass
But it was worth it, all thanks to the waitress’s assertive smile

Very good flavours and fresh ingredients. Friendly service and good take out option. Recommended to call or order in advance as it is usually a busy place.
The sushi is good as well the gyosas.

I really like the location and atmosphere. It is not at those busy crowded place that everyone comes and goes with lots of sound. Its modern and angular decor with all the stoneware brings a sense of stability inside me. I am a vegetarian and Sozo has many vegetarian friendly dishes unlike many meat-centered sushi restaurants. One of my favorite dishes is the mashed potato croquette. Crispy outside and creamy inside, the dual texture brings up the dimension of taste! I had a great conversation with the manager Genie, she’s lovely to talk to.

Saying this place makes good sushi is like saying throwing a potato into boiling oil makes excellent fries. I tried a few dishes once once and it was just awful. The rice was wrong, the consistency was wrong, the taste was wrong. Months after this disappointing experience, I’ve asked the opinion of another amateur of (real) Japanese cuisine and his summary was the same : I’d rather eat stale bread. I realize people are getting used to supermarket sushi but I think this is much worse.
