This place has very good food, the options look like authentic Japanese food, not the Americanized revisions. There is a daily menu, so the available meals might vary from day to day, but they are still good. Portions are little smaller than typical, but that’s aligned with the authenticity. Prices a little high for the amount of food, but they are still acceptable.
We visited on Wed early evening (only one than our table was occupied), so I’m not sure how the staff is at busy, but our experience was a little lackluster. The girl wasn’t experienced and she felt lost. It was our first time, so we didn’t know what to order, we try to get an advice of popular meals at this place, but we didn’t getuch help. Hopefully, your experience will be different.
The atmosphere is nice, the restaurant feels warm and cozy, the furniture is basic, there is some cute decorations in some of the corners. We will definitely come again.

This quirky little place tucked away in a tiny strip mall off Golf Road was somewhat confusing. The staff couldn’t quite explain what the special was and the menu on the screen and the one on its website were different, not to mention the appetizers were only posted on the wall. As for the food, ramen dishes were truly remarkable. But the same couldn’t be said for bento – both salmon and Mackerel were extremely dry. Given that there are many Japanese food options around the area, they would have to up the game on bento for them to be considered for a revisit.

Sozai Banzai has a great value of food, freshly cooked food delicious. It’s always a pleasure to visit and great customer service 5 stars. I definitely recommend checking it out if you are in town.

Love the food and it’s on point all the time. We love the chashu ramen and bento box entree. Pork tonkatsu is juicy and crispy on the outside. My hubby likes the chicken karaage and Taiwanese Style Tonkatsu Ramen. The price is reasonable. I’ve seen japanese people eat here so it must be authentic! This is a hidden gem. You wont notice it right away while driving by Golf Rd but it’s a must try.

Service was Outstanding and very welcoming.
What I Ordered:
Ebi: Best Ebi I have ever had so far. Fried to Perfection and Still so Tender on the Inside. I have not ever had it served with Tartar Sauce Before. Awesomeness!! Could have eaten a cup of it. lol!
Croquette: Again, Perfect Fry and Tasty!
Pork Katsu Curry: 3 for 3 on The Perfect Fry on The Katsu! First time having Japanese Style Curry. Big Fan now! More of a Warm Hug kind of Spice Level.

This has been on my list for awhile and one day I decided to try. It’s located in a strip mall with lots of parking. When you go inside, they have a sufficient amount of tables to sit at, but it wasn’t very busy on a Saturday night. You order at the register and he brings it out to you. You’ll have to be patient, they don’t have a lot of staff. We ordered tako karaage (fried octopus), croquettes, Taiwan style tonkotsu ramen with 2 pieces of chashu, and the deluxe bento with butashoga (ginger pork). I had a bite of the pork and it was delicious. Ginger was not overpowering. Tender meat. Prices were very affordable and cheap. Service was great and he brought out our food hot and freshly made. I would definitely come back and try other items.
-tako karaage 5 – it had a nice little chew and was not overly fried. Great taste.
-croquettes 5 – I loved these. When you bite into them, they’re soft. Flavorful, savory filling inside. I should have gotten more of these.
-Taiwan style tonkotsu ramen 5 – noodles were chewy. Bountiful amount of ground pork. The two chashu pieces were tender and easy to break apart. Broth was not heavy, it was just right.

This hidden gem in a strip mall is truly a delight! The cashier is exceptionally polite and welcoming, making the experience even better. The food is absolutely phenomenal—so delicious that I’m already planning to order two entrées next time. The chicken katsu is perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor, while the udon noodles are rich and packed with savory goodness. The side dishes complement the meal beautifully, offering a balanced mix of sweet, salty, and citrusy flavors. A must-try spot for Japanese cuisine lovers!

I love this place!!! Their daily specials are always delicious and well worth the money. Their miso soup is great. Main entrees too such as tonkatsu. Tonjiru soup is good as well.
The only thing I wouldnt recommend is the bento, it really is too little for the price. Would much rather get bento from mitsuwa to be honest or even from sgd so gong dong (korean).

We enjoyed everything we ordered – large katsu curry, unadon, taco karaage (baby octopus!), croquettes. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentic; you could taste the ingredients without seasoning overpowering them. We were craving katsu curry and kabayaki eel and it was very satisfying. The place is bright, clean, and smells good, reminding me of small cozy restaurants in Japan. The staff was polite and precise. It is a perfect place for lunch; a couple groups of people were dining in while a few others like me were picking up orders from the counter inside. Will definitely go back to explore other things on the menu.
