This was my 1st time here! I truly enjoyed the food no lie! Everything was seasoned and hot! First time in a long time I can say the food was seasoned right!
Now the atmosphere wasn’t the best because you can only order to go. You can’t dine in.
The ladies were pleasant. The younger girl wasn’t as friendly, the older lady was very nice.
I’m going back 2 times, is a charm!

Ordered tilapia with green beans and corn. Tilapia was lightly spiced so you could taste the fish and a small bit of lemon. Green beans and corn were the right textures each, and the spice added on them gave them a nice boost in flavor, a bit ‘richer’ than plain green beans and corn. I definitely plan on returning

I ordered the 3 piece buffalo fish w/ okra and cole slaw. The fish had zero seasoning along with the sides. I also didn’t know that they charge a convenience fee along with a takeout fee which was a inconvenience for me. I would definitely not visit that location again.

First time there, got the fried catfish with cole slaw and fries. The fish was good, not to salty and seasoned well. The cole slaw
was good and they gave you a nice amount. The fries were nothing special, but they didn’t affect the overall quality of the meal. I plan on returning and maybe try different sides. The lady at the counter was pleasant and efficiently took the orders and kept things moving. I think this is a well run restaurant with good food, good service, and fair prices, what more could you ask for.

Believe this or not but this place has the best burger in memphis and served with steak fries. The buger is freshly patted for the order and man its huge. Expext to be sleep after this meal. The staff are all like family and really take pride in the meals that they make. This is a must stop trust me.

The catfish was good, the shrimp Po boy and the chicken tenders were enjoyed by my sons. The salmon was dry the okra was harder than I would like. Those steak cut fries were the business though.

My friends and I came in and we instantly felt like we were at moms or our aunts house. We received a warm welcome when we entered and the smell of good ole’ country frying/cooking consumed us. We all ordered different meals, and they were all delicious. The hospitality was truly southern and this is not a one time visit type of place. Picture below are the tenders & fries, hot wings, with a side blackened catfish. Southwind fish is a homestyle restaurant. It’s family owned and operated and they are in my opinion the best place to get fried fish done right. It’s not greasy, it’s not overly seasoned and their potato salad is so good. I recommend the tilapia dinner.
