I visited Southside Sports Grill & Lounge on a Wednesday night, and let me just say—everything was on point. I ordered an Amaretto Sour while we tried their Honey Hot Wings and fries. They had $5 drink specials and the wings + fries combo was only $10 for 5 wings and fries, which is a steal.
The atmosphere was perfect. Good vibes, good music (they play Motown/60s/70s/80s on Wednesdays), and they even had hookah. Parking was super easy since it’s located right off Terra.
Now the food… the wings were crazy flavorful—some of the best wings I’ve had in a long time. The fries were seasoned to perfection. The chicken was so good we literally had to order a second round. Everything was fresh, hot, and seasoned just right.
If you’re on the Southside and want good food, good music, and a chill vibe, Southside Sports Grill & Lounge is definitely worth checking out.

I really wanted to like this place because the decor is actually very nice and gives off a grown, upscale sports bar vibe. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the appearance at all.
The crowd was extremely young and the atmosphere felt more chaotic than mature. If you’re a grown adult looking for a relaxed sports bar environment, this probably isn’t the spot.
The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because the male bartender with glasses was amazing. He was professional, attentive, and provided excellent service. The food was also really good.
However, the overall environment — including the behavior I observed from the owners while they were there — didn’t reflect the level of professionalism you would expect. It just wasn’t a good experience.
Just sharing so others know what to expect.

The food was amazing! Battered Lemon Pepper Wings with Fries! The fries were actually seasoned and fresh! The wings were super tender and you could taste the lemon pepper! The chef (stepssoulfood:IG) came out to greet us! Nicole was a great waitress and very attentive. The drinks were bussin! Also, the prices are very reasonable! New vibe spot! I hope this place does great business on the southside!

I had such a great experience thanks to my server, JaQuises. From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. His energy was positive, his recommendations were on point, and he checked on us throughout the meal without ever being overbearing. You can tell he genuinely cares about making guests feel welcomed and taken care of.
If you visit, definitely ask for JaQuises — you won’t be disappointed!

This is my second time at this establishment since it opened. It’s a very nice atmosphere. Music good. I didn’t eat any food. I sat down in VIP. The service was slow cuz I never saw a waitress but it was crowded and I was only there for a short time.. if you’re looking for a spot with Good vibes and smoke friendly, this is a spot for you.

Drinks were a bit weak , service slow , bartender seem like she just wanted to look cute && not do her job . Had to keep flagging her down for a drink when it was only like 5 ppl in the whole place, even after seeing us sitting there done you would think they would ask if want another drink since they add gratuity. Order 5 wings && fries . Took 45 mins, fries were small, hard && not fresh. After waiting so long

The decor is nice however the service here is horrible the waitress we had was disrespectful and slow. She was too busy arguing with a guy that appeared to be a manager or the owner instead of tending to her customers. I do not recommend.

I had the absolute worst experience at this place. I purchased overpriced drinks that were served in a plastic cup. My sister had to ask for an actual glass for her drink. When it came time to pay I suggested to the waitress that they serve the drinks in glasses instead of plastic. She agreed and said she’s been telling the owner the same thing. The OWNER then comes over to me to argue about why I wanted a glass for my drink. He then rudely directed his anger towards my sister then walked away when he didn’t get the response he wanted. Straight loser. This establishment probably won’t last long just based on the customer service
