Me and my family been a value customers for many many years. Oct 24, 2025.
My family and I had ordered food and waited 2 hrs. And when I called to see to get an updated,on the food the cashier was very unprofessional on her actions of not explaining what happened.Instead when I ask her,about the food and I paid by debit card. She rudely hung up the phone. We never experienced this type of service and it was very surprising. So I we felt like we got robbed, but apparently when we went to the store, to talk to the manager about our order,the cashier that took the order had cancelled our order and left for the night.
I guess the cook felt bad and made our family the food we ordered. Thanks to him. I still paid as was plan. But for that cashier. She really doing under handed things around that business. I hope the owner and management knows, and she chasing business away.The next week we ordered again. Thinking everything okay. She told me and my family we no longer can order there again.
Just because she was very unprofessional on her work ethics. Very displeased on this customer service. New management is great with their food. But staff member.very dishonest and again very unprofessional.

Worst place ever. They don’t deliver food to paying customers. Then when you call they don’t help or try to be of service. Terrible customer service. I got a full refund from the Uber App. Thank goodness I got my money back. Delivery means you deliver it! You don’t take the food back once you arrive. The delivery person was incompetent and did not know how to leave the food item safely at the entrance. Customers are the priority. I called back to inform how unprofessional they are and told them I got my money back.

DO NOT EAT HERE if you or your children have any food allergies.
Last week, my daughter — who has a severe nut allergy — ordered food from this restaurant. We’ve ordered from here before, and it was always made clear that they do not use any nut products. Unfortunately, this time was different, and the results were terrifying.
Shortly after eating the fries, my daughter developed a headache, then throat tightness, followed by vomiting. Recognizing the signs of an allergic reaction, I immediately administered her EpiPen and rushed her to CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia). There, doctors had to administer a second EpiPen and involve respiratory specialists to stabilize her.
The next morning, I contacted the store manager, Ralph. His response was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He said he would call me back — he never did.
I have since filed formal complaints with the Philadelphia Health Department, the Philadelphia branch of the FDA, and have retained legal counsel. This used to be a trusted place for us, but ever since the new ownership, the standards and care have clearly gone downhill.
Please think twice before ordering — especially if someone in your family has food allergies. What happened to my daughter could have been far worse, and no one should have to go through that.

Unacceptable Customer Service – Never Again
I have been a loyal customer, placing at least one pizza order every two weeks for the past year. However, my recent experience with Southside Pizza has completely shattered any goodwill I once had for this establishment.
I called to order two large pizzas and initially spoke with a friendly representative. When I inquired about using an online coupon, I was placed on hold while she checked the details. While waiting, another employee interrupted by asking if I wanted to place a new order. I explained that I was waiting for confirmation about my coupon, only to have her abruptly hang up on me.
Determined to resolve the issue, I called back. This time, the same employee that just hung up on me (I’m assuming) answered and hung up immediately. On my third attempt, the courteous representative answered an I asserted her directly if someone had hung up on me, to which she casually confirmed that another employee was working there. After explaining the situation and the complete disregard for my inquiry, I decided to cancel my order altogether.
This level of negligence and unprofessional behavior is inexcusable. I expected to be treated with respect and efficiency given my regular business, but this experience has left me thoroughly disappointed. I will no longer be ordering from Southside Pizza, and I advise others to think twice before trusting their service with your order.

Southside has been my go to since they opened and was located on Montrose st. It’s clear that are under new management because it just isn’t good anymore. My pizza arrived cold and sauceless. This is the driest cheesesteak pizza I ever had. I was told I have to ask for pizza sauce on my pizza. Who knew?

Called driver to get the correct order then waited another hour before going to bed at 11pm. Next morning saw missed call almost an hour and a half after driver dropped off incorrect items.
