Overall a solid pick. It starts off well having a free parking garage nearby and with great weather my wife and I were able to sit outside. The service was good, and friendly. And the food is pretty good. I took my wife here because I tried it before and enjoyed it. On our night out we started with fried green tomatoes, which were very good. For my meal I had the spicy fried chicken sandwich, which was decent, and my wife had the blackened catfish.

I started with fried green tomatoes, which were good but I think the batter wasn’t fully cooked through. But I would order again. For my main meal I had the Charleston chicken, which was a solid choice. Well priced, tasty, and filling. Finally, I closed my meal out with the key lime pie, which was great. Overall, I think this restaurant deserves your visit.

A long-time Alexandria classic. Great food and service with a neighborhood vibe. Choose from the sports bar or family dining areas.
I especially recommend the jalepeno honey pulled chicken, whether as a salad, sandwich, or nachos. The fried sweet pickles are a favorite appetizer my out-of-town family keep asking for. when they’re here.

The 815 Biscuit appetizer is a must-try. It uses sweet potato biscuits but they’re not sweet at all so they go perfectly with the salty Virginia country ham and the lump blue crab meat and white gravy.
The chicken fingers are also a must-try. Very generous portion, more like multiple chicken schnitzels because these are pounded a little flat (but still thick) and breaded with nice thick flour batter.
THAT REMOULADE SAUCE. Best ive ever had.
And those poboys are great too. I got a oyster/crawfish combo. Very generously stuffed.

Honestly, this was the best service I’ve ever received! Our server/waiter was Nick and he truly made our day. So much so that we decided to leave him a substantial tip. Nick is very social aware, knowledgeable about their restaurant and items, and he thouroghly explains the highlights of their menu and a brief history of their establishment. He regularly checked in during our dinner but what really sets him apart is his high charismatic and warming energy. This was not only for our table but the surrounding tables as well. Extremely respectful and kind, and a prior service member !

This was our first time at this restaurant. We selected it spontaneously, and it turned out to be perfect. We had front door parking (rare in VA), someone had just pulled out.
The service was great. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was awesome and very attentive to our needs (refilling glasses, bringing us more napkins and condements, etc. without us having to ask.). He had a pleasant smile and a warm personality that made you feel welcomed.
The food was delicious! I had the fried green tomatoes for my appetizer and the blackened catfish for the entree. I highly recommend both!
We plan to go back. It was a great experience, especially for a busy Saturday.

Great service – we just ordered at the bar but the staff was super attentive. Got several drinks as well as the chicken strips which were excellent. The waiter also gave us extra sauces (delicious!). Very affordable and fun experience. Good music too.

I love when I find good food places near were I live and this place was a nice surprise. I ordered the blackened catfish along with cheddar grits and fried green tomatoes. All of it was delicious! I would definitely come back for a second taste of the other things on the menu.
