Stopped by for food and drinks on our way home from Bald Head Island. It just happened to be an extremely busy day in Southport with July 4th festivities. Because of that, I’m giving them lots of grace for the fact that the kitchen took about 30 minutes to get the food out. If the kitchen is slammed, it would be nice to inform people so that they know what to expect and can make an informed decision about whether they have the time to order food. My husband’s frozen lemonade melted completely in the time it took to wait for the food, because they don’t seem to have very strong (any) A/C in the building.

Cute little place with tons of seating in an old house in the center of Southport. The sandwiches were awesome, I had the turkey Gouda. Coffee was good. Nice shaded patio.

While sightseeing in Southport during some unusually warm weather this past week, we decided to try this spot for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised with their healthy menu options. Our salads were delicious and we enjoyed eating there. Many locals were eating there and everyone was friendly. Bonus points were local artists work on display and for sale. We look forward to eating there again this Spring!

The LATTES selection had me hooked. Ghirardelli’s and caramel espresso latte won me over. The everything breakfast bagels were savory. I walked to the water and ate a great breakfast with a view. Just steps to the sitting area downtown.

The food and coffee was really good I personally think it’s way overpriced but as an out of towner I wanted to try it anyways. But the lady taking our order was kinda off putting… but maybe that’s just her personality. Probably won’t be back the rest of my trip

Stopped here for a light meal and coffee on our bike tour of Southport. Lovely outdoor seating area, plenty of tables under the shade. The chicken salad sandwich on a pretzel bun was delicious.

Excellent coffee and food, long wait time for the food but was well worth it. Nice shaded outside seating, and friendly atmosphere.

I got coffee and enjoyed it but the attitude of the staff was a bit off putting rather than welcoming. It was unfortunate because I was going to order food as well and didn’t care to spend any additional money because I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff.

Enjoyed their famous Sweet Daddy chicken salad sandwich on a warm bun sitting on the front porch on a sunny day. They are also known for their coffee. A warm and inviting spot in Southport.
