I was just getting my steps in while walking around my hometown square of Winchester, Tennessee when I stumbled across this little ice cream shop. I decided to walk in and just see what was all about, and I saw on their menu that they had a protein shake! Great, because I’m trying to prioritize protein right now. I got the chocolate peanut butter banana shake and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!

What a fun, beautiful place. They have one dairy free choice too. My friends enjoyed the cozy slippers, and blankets, and stuffed animals. They want to come back for the extensive candy selections, sold it n bulk. I hope they’ll have more dairy free choices soon.

We stopped in with the grandkids and they were thrilled. Candy everywhere! The ice cream flavors were unique and it tasted great! The decor was also unique and fun. I’m so glad we have this place to enjoy!

Cute little ice cream and candy shop in downtown Winchester, TN. I came by for an end-of-the-school-year treat after teaching my last class before the summer!
They were pretty empty at about 2 PM on a Wednesday, but those are certainly off hours. The inside is surprisingly large and very bright and spacious, with cute western-y decorations and a display of chocolates and candies on your left as you walk in. There’s ample seating and it’s open enough for little ones to explore without getting underfoot too badly. There’s a cute little western-themed rule board that lets you know the protocol for getting candy and such. You can also get western-themed souvenirs like a cow patterned blanket or tumbler.
They have a large menu of special milkshakes and of course regular ice cream. In the interest of not blowing up my calories for the day, I asked if I could have a kids’ scoop of ice cream and the pleasant employee said yes! It’s nice to have more control over portion size while still getting a treat. 🙂
I ordered the mocha almond fudge, or something to that effect. I enjoyed it, and found ample nuts even in my smaller-sized scoop. I will say I was hoping for it to be more coffee-flavored-forward (a la Baskin Robbins jamocha almond), but it was heavy on chocolate flavor and light on coffee. Not a bad thing per se, just not what I was expecting. In the future, if I want something more coffee-ish, I’ll have to remember that and switch it up. However, I love chocolate too and this chocolate was good, rich, and creamy.
Would return for a special treat. Hope to grab some confections or maybe a milkshake the next time I come to town.
