At Southern Red’s BBQ (located in the old Pilot Oak Grocery building), we are not only known for our great ribs, barbecue, catfish, country cookin’ sides, cakes and pies, and a great in-house dining experience, and more – but we are often the people’s choice for catering. Having catered some 400-500 events per year; we can cater for as many, or as few as you need to feed. We cater for weddings, factories, school, and office functions, and for whatever other event you may need to be served. We can cater on any day at anytime- just let us know what you need! Micah, Kim, Fred, Belinda, and the Southern Red’s staff look forward to meeting you — and serving you some of the best food this side of anywhere.

I was traveling on business in rural south western Kentucky and a friend recommended this BBQ joint in the middle of nowhere (or so it seems). Well this has some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had and the fried okra was out of this world!! Great folks work there and are so nice!! If I’m ever thru that way again I’m am most definitely stopping by again. Amazing food!!

I Had ribs and cherry Pineapple pie. Both were perfect in every way. The ribs were moist and tasted fresh and hot. The pie was not too sweet but sweet enough for anyone to like it. The parking lot is big and easy to get in and out of.

Always excellent. We’ve been several times and the food is always worth the drive. Order at the counter, and then food is brought to you. You usually don’t have to wait long for your food once you order, but you will probably have to wait in line to order. I’d recommend getting there either right as they open or closer to closing time. Desserts are out of this world- I usually have trouble choosing (and sometimes get more than one, ha). Always a great experience all around!

Well worth the 35 minute drive. We called our order in and went and got it and when we finally decided to eat supper everything was DELICIOUS!! Will be back for another steak for sure and ribs. Next time we going to get their BarBQue too. Thanks Reds and everyone that works there.
