We stopped by Michelle Beck’s new spot in downtown Lexington, NC, and it did not disappoint. Grabbed some dinner (and a little breakfast), ran into familiar faces, and it was great seeing everyone smiling and enjoying themselves again.
The food was incredible, the atmosphere was spot on, and the service was top-notch—the Becks truly delivered.

Wonderful step back into a simpler time with charm. Staff is quick efficient and polite. Music fits the diner and isnt super loud. Nice aesthetics.

Fantastic service and food. Exceptionally friendly people. I got the chicken livers with gravy, fries and mac and cheese. I was hesitant to try the chicken livers because most place arent that good. Well oh my goodness if you like chicken livers these are out if this world. Very tender and the taste was amazingly good, melt in ur mouth. A must try kinda place!

My sister moved to Lexington, and my mom and I go up to have lunch sometimes. There are so many good places to eat there. But if its been more than a couple of weeks, we MUST come here for lunch. The dipped chicken is so good its addictive. And you cant beat the price. I just want to come more often so we can try other things on the menu!

Visiting my 93 year old mother in Salisbury we live in Austin where it’s all bbq… I googled chicken and dumplings and thankfully Southern Lunch came up. The minute we got seated Shae came over to get our drink orders and my mom was having trouble deciding so 5 minutes later she came back with small samples of the daily specials and chicken and dumplings. Well we ended up with of course me getting them and then my mom, husband got grilled pork chops super moist. Wow Mac n Cheese and Limas were delish. So happy to know about we will come again when we visit. P.S. prices and portions very good.

The food is AMAZING, I had the best squash casserole ive tasted in my life here tonight! The portions are very generous and priced reasonably. I was surprised when I got to the register and my total was so low. The waitresses and lady at checkout were very kind and personable. Will definitely be back again. Im kicking myself for not trying this place sooner.

My best friend and I saw this restaurant featured on PBS’s show, NC Weekend, presented by Deborah Holt Noel. We decided to give it a try today. It was definitely worth the visit. Everything said about this place in the show was 100% spot on. Our food was delicious, very generous portions. The food was matched with excellent and friendly service. Our waitress, Aidyn, was a delight! We plan on many return visits!! Also the prices were great. Everyone should check out this eatery.

The first time I went to Southern lunch the fried livers were spot on! Tender and great!!! The second time the livers were to done. I guess I need to tell them not to cook to long. The staff was great, clean restaurant. You can ask for smaller portions plate too , I found out.
