First visit here. We sat on the outdoor patio. It was about 20 of us at a table. There was live music and large fans blowing, so it wasn’t as hot as we thought it would be. There was a long wait to receive our food but understandable since it was so many of us. The menu is extensive. They have appetizers, salads, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, Mexican, and comfort food. It was a bit overwhelming. The rolls and mini cornbread they brought with the sweet butter were delicious! Those mini cornbread were my favorite. The food was hot and fresh when we received it. I ordered the regular sized chicken fried chicken with giant onion rings and Mac and cheese. The food could’ve used some seasoning, but it wasn’t bad. My husband tried the blackened salmon and said that was really good. Overall, our waiter did well, and we enjoyed ourselves. We will visit again and try other things.

Had an excellent dine In experience. Place is super clean and the entire atmosphere is relaxing. Our waiter was named Cayden and he was super on top of checking in and bringing refills. Never felt like I had to wait on him to help us. The food was fantastic. I got the chicken fried steak ( which was crispy and tender) Mac and cheese and potatoes. Loved it! My mother got fried liver and said she’ll definitely be back as well, that it was delicious! Thanks for a great experience.

A classic southern style restaurant full of stuffed wildlife and Texas decor. The down home southern cooking is very good. There is a covered area for live music, food and drinks. They also have a patio area with all the trimmings. Come here for your chicken fried whatever!

We went for lunch on Sunday. The bread basket is freshly made and is so delicious. Our server was amazing and very attentive. The food was very good. We will definitely be going back again.

This place has incredible food, southern hospitality in the awesome scenery. I have the hamburger steak fried okra and mashed potatoes and gravy. Probably one of the best hamburger steaks I’ve ever had.

I’m so happy we stopped in, my brother was in town and we wanted a southern meal. We were seated promptly with our party. Our server, Clarissa was so awesome. Our drinks stayed full and table was continuously clean. Food was served hot! My brother enjoyed his gizzards, my son really liked the alligator. The chicken was crisp and fresh. Great experience!

I am a very picky about where and what I eat. It was my first time trying this place and I can absolutely recommend it. From the bread at the beginning to the entree. It was delicious. I have never enjoyed my food as much as I did today. I recommended the Cajun chicken pasta.

A down home, southern restaurant tucked away in industrial La Porte. It truly feels like a small town spot, not a Houston bar and grill. The restaurant is full of murals and taxidermy that pay homage to hunting. Definitely something different. If you’re not worried about your diet, you’ll enjoy the food here. I got the “southern style” chicken fried steak. It was covered in jalapeños and a homemade Monterey Jack cheese sauce. I don’t know what’s not to love about that.
